Ooooops I missed: Wallowa Lake Camping (July 29th-30th)

Tricia and I made reservations to go camping at Wallowa Lake back in January. 

The Nelson kids were super excited to go camping with a whole big group. 

Logan and Presley had been with Amy and Grandma more recently and they kept talking about the Go-Kart rides!

We were only there for 2 nights, but we packed a lot of fun into that short time!

But first...some old pictures of past camping trips at Wallowa

Tricia and I love a recreation pic and we texted back and forth about recreating this one...ha ha!

Papa Berries called it the Taj Mahal.

One thing I always remembered about Wallowa was that the deer would come right up to you and you could feed them.  They don't allow feeding anymore, but they'll still allow humans to get pretty close to them. 

Ry and Jax got pretty close.

We rented paddle boats for an hour and the girls went in one and the boys went in the other. 

They raced for a little while, but then stayed close to each other the rest of the time. 

This is their race...the girls won.

I know Papa Berries was trying to teach Dave and Logan how to tie a special knot. 

Dave tried to play us a song on Danny's guitar.

Presley saw a sign advertising a forest ranger demonstration/speaker so her and Dave went to that. 

Presley shared with us that wolves howl in the night to stay close to their pack...this is why Ry howls after we tuck him in and shut the door. 

We played golf tonight too.

Joe and Lanae packed Mathew, Emily, and Natalies' bikes and they rode around the campground.  This was a lot of fun...I need to remember scooters next time.
