December Decorations

As we were building our house I kept imagining how the porch and inside would look all decorated for Christmas.
I did buy a few things new, but mostly anything new was purchased after Christmas last year as I tried to think about what I'd need.
Welcome to our house.

Dining Room

Half Bath
I did have some Christmas towels out.
I think they were in the wash.

We bought this fresh garland the day after Thanksgiving from Home Depot.
It's pretty brittle at this point.
I feel like this needs a wreath of something in the middle next year.
In the main family room.
This was also fresh garland from Fred Meyer's that I bought/changed out a couple of times.

Presley set up the village for me this year.
Our advent calendars.
I really don't like these very much, but they were expensive so I'll keep using them.

In the kitchen/breakfast nook:

It's hard to see the wreath on the pantry door.

I had some random stuff that I wanted displayed so I used a shelf in the office.

Downstairs bottom of stairs/ family room:

The TV room got a little village too:

Retirement Brunch

My mom officially retired earlier this month but my Dad insisted on having a little party for her too.
She had repeatedly said she didn't want a party or gifts or a video.
But she finally gave the okay for family and a few of her co-workers to celebrate her retirement.

My dad hosted a brunch at Shilo Inn on Sunday, December 27th
Papa made a little slideshow and talked about her work history.
He's in his element right here.
I told Dave that I would never want people to pass around a microphone and tell stories about me.
He told me he didn't think I'd ever have co-workers again to do that.
Point taken.

Holly received a selfie stick for Christmas and I thought it was so funny to take pictures of her taking pictures.

Dad also set up his Photo Booth.

Brother-in-laws
Thomas, Nate, Dave

With the retiree...
It was snowing in the Tri-Cities so we headed home.
We couldn't remember another Christmas when it was snowing as we left.
The roads were wet and slushy the whole way.
Luckily we had blankets to keep us warm and electronics to keep us entertained. .
(Amy made one for each of us for Christmas).

Saturday, December 26th

All the kids received gift certificates to Get Air Trampoline Park for Christmas.
We took Alyson and Mylee with us on Saturday and Papa met us there.
I took a lot of pictures.
Logan couldn't quite dunk it, but was so close.
Rylan played Dodgeball for a long time.
Then Logan joined him at the end of our time to play some more.

The foam pit was a big hit!

The incline trampolines were fun for running up and down.
Ry just ran and ran the entire time. His face was so red.
Aly had did a leg work out before we came here and I think she was feeling it.
Her good sister Mylee was helping her up.
Papa took 2 turns in the massaging chairs.

Logan, Mylee, Ry, Alyson, Presley, Harper
As we left, the kids wanted to all get in the hurricane tunnel.
The wind is up to 78 MPH in this pic.

After the trampoline park, we went over to Amy and Thomas' house for dinner and games.
Our favorite game was "Pie Face".
Ry really wanted a pie to the face.
