Logan's Northwest Regional Soccer Tournament

Logan's Cobras team won a berth to the Northwest Regional Soccer Tournament by winning the State Cup in the Spring.
(Logan didn't play on that team, instead spending the spring training and playing for Wenatchee Fire)

The tournament was Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at the TRAC in Pasco.
We were so lucky it was there and that family were able to keep him.

On Sunday they lost to the Portland Timbers team 7-1.
They were a very good team, but the Cobras definitely did not come to play.
Dave and I left Logan with Cristy for the next two nights.
We missed Monday's game, but they got the win against Yakima Navy 6-3.
Cristy group texted us as the game was going and the team played a lot better.
After Monday's game they went to the Krispy Kreme store.
Cristy and Lanae took Logan, Mathew, Emily, and Natalie to Chuck E Cheese later that afternoon.

On Tuesday, Dave was able to drive down for the noon game.
They won again 3-0 against the Washington East-Hartanov team.
This was Logan's best game and Cristy got some pictures with her camera and sent them to me.
That's Aly and Mylee coming to watch
(they both look pretty thrilled to be watching a soccer game)
Tona, Papa Berries, Lanae, Cristy, Logan, Mylee, and Amy (Aly had a leave a little early).
Dave said he had lots of good saves this game.
They came in 2nd place for this tournament, playing in the super league bracket.

I texted Logan and told him to make sure Dad stopped at Krispy Kremes for the family.
I also told him to put on a cap too...like in Arizona in 2002...

This was a great kick off to our summer break!!

Father's Day 2015

Father's Day was Sunday, June 21st

Harper and Logan woke up their Dad

Logan had his first regional soccer game in Pasco this afternoon so we loaded up and headed there.
He lost this game to a very good Portland Timbers team.
My dad showed up for a few minutes but then had to go video a wedding.
I didn't even see him leave so I didn't get a picture with him.

Afterwards we had a little dinner at my parent's house.
Thomas, Dave, and Nate

We left Logan to stay the night with Cristy for the next 2 night because he had games both Monday and Tuesday and made it back home by about 10.

Ry remembered he had a card for him.

Lincoln Sorensen

Welcome to the World Lincoln!!

Baby Lincoln was born on Sunday, May 31st, 2015.
Tona texted this picture to me as soon as she was able to hold him that morning.

We waited until June 13th to meet that sweet baby.
The kids were more than excited.

We were on our way to the wedding in Walla Walla and stopped.
Lincoln's eyes barely opened, even with all the passing around we did.
He's the only newborn I know that can sleep so well without having to be swaddled.
His arms just wriggle right out of his blankets and up by his face.
He seemed so so tiny and had lots of black hair.
The kids were smitten with him.

I got the first family picture of the Sorensen's.

It was a special day for us.

Tricia does a very good job of texting me lots of Lincoln pics...
I loved this one of Lincoln with his Great, Great Grandpa!

As to who won our baby pool...it was Tricia!!  Good Mother's Intuition I guess.
(Logan and Rylan both guessed the correct day tho)
Amy came in 2nd place, followed by Logan.

Last Day of School: June 11th and 12th

Thursday, June 11th was Harper's last day of pre-school.

2nd to the last day for Rylan, Logan, and Presley.
It was also the same day as Presley's 5th grade ceremony.
Harper loved Miss Jessica.
I asked Harper about pre-school:
"I loved lunch and recess and we got to play around.  Miss Jessica is nice and kind.  We learned Spanish and math equations.  I learned about bees and butterflies.  I'm really good at Spanish."

Logan, Presley, and Ry had their last day on Friday, June 12th.
Logan (13) and Rylan (8)
Last day of 7th and 2nd grade
Harper jumped in for this picture.
It was also Presley's last day at Sunnyslope Elementary.
Next year she'll be a Foothills Falcon.
Presley's first day of kindergarten (2009, 6 years old)

Our last school drop off of the year.
Presley out first...
Her last day of elementary drop off.
She turned to give me the "I Love You" sign.

Ry, happy as always in the morning.
Every day, without fail, he told Harper he loved her and flashed the "I Love You" sign to Logan and me.
Logan at Foothills was my last drop off in the mornings.
He got in a habit this year of showing me "I Love You".
Most mornings he did it very quickly.
Walking in as a 7th grader,
he walked out as an EIGHTH grader.

Harper and I went to pick up the kids and got to Sunnyslope just in time to see Presley hugging Mrs. Lammert.
She told me on Monday that she was sure she was going to cry.
And she did a little bit.
(hugging Kylee and Angela)

I didn't get a picture of this but Presley's 4th grade teacher Mrs. Noble is retiring and I saw Presley giving her a hug too.  I saw Mrs. Noble say something to Presley and when I asked Presley what she said:  "Presley, you're going to shine in middle school."

We found Ry hanging out with his friends Kage, Nico, and Claire.

Logan walked with his friends to Dusty's for lunch and then went to see Jurassic World.
Jenna dropped them off and I picked them up.
One of the moms texted me to say thanks for getting her son home and I texted her this picture.
Logan, Jackson, Rhett, Colby, Riley and Mo

Bring it on summer...we are more than ready!!
