Decorating our Christmas Tree

I've been a little slacker in getting the rest of the house completely decorated, but I wanted to make sure we had our tree up sooner rather than later.    I love that the kids think the tree decorated is the official kick off to Christmas coming.  We had a fun night of decorating, dancing, laughing, talking about ornaments, and listening to carols.

For the first time, we opted to not move the TV cabinet into the main living room.  It's heavy and cumbersome, and we just couldn't see moving it now only to move it again in a few months when we leave this house.  So this year, our last year, our tree is in the orange living room near the fireplace.  The hearth made for a good step stool.

At nightime Harper only likes to wear undies.  As we started decorating Dave told her to go get some clothes on and this is how she came down...12 month old pajama bottoms and a Christmas jammies top from last year.

Ry liked using the hearth too and was very cautious with his ornament hanging.
Look at that tall kid...no need for parent help when you have a boy that can reach the top.
Harper found the ice cream ornament and said,  "I know this one is for me".
Happy to find a six member family ornament.
We drew out names to see who could put the star on the tree and Presley's name was drawn.
But Harper threw a fit so we let her put the star on our live tree in the front room.
TA-DA!!
