Apple Blossom Fun

Apple Blossom is always the last week of April thru the first weekend of May.
We didn't have any conflicts both of those week-ends so we were able to participate in a lot of the festivities.
We haven't had a very nice spring, but the weather was pretty good for the days/nights we did Apple Blossom things.

On Friday, April 28th, Presley celebrated Ella's 13th birthday by going to the carnival with all her friends.
She rode all the rides.
Troy texted this picture to Dave when he saw her.
Dave texted Presley, "I'm always watching you".

Saturday, April 29th was the Youth Parade.
Ry and Harper rode their scooters with Sunnylope Elementary.
Presley walked with her Stage Kids group.
Dave dropped us off at Triangle Park and I found their line-ups.
Before the parade started.

Dave and I ran to the grocery store and then ate at Jimmy John's for lunch.
That area is the ending point so we just walked out after eating and saw them all near the finishing point.

Ry and Harper finished first.
Ry spotted us first.
Ry and Harper both waving at us.

We had a little wait for Presley and we saw them dancing their way down the street.

On Sunday, April 30th Stage Kids had a performance time on the grand stage at Memorial Park.
There were several performances...some that were not Lion King related.
Presley and the hyenas performed "Be Prepared"

On May 3rd we stopped at the Food Fair for a treat after Harper's soccer game.

The next weekend was the big parade.
We didn't go to that, but Ry and Harper did want to run in the 2K Fun Run.
Dave dropped them off at the start and I waited for them at the end.
The starting point is the same place as where all the floats line up so they go to stop and see some of them as they were walking to the line up.

I totally missed Ry finishing and he found me.
We waited for Harper to finish.
Each grade level had different start times so they ran separately.
Harper ran with a mom and daughter from Waterville.
She told them about her grandparents that live there and that they have a dog named Nelson.

Happy Finishers!

It was a fun couple week-ends.
