Washington State Soccer Tournament: April 25th-27th

Logan's Cobra Select Soccer team qualified for the Washington State Cup in Lacey this week-end.  Dave ended up taking 3 other boys with him.  This tournament is a loser out format so you never know for sure if you'll be playing the next day.  I was so lucky that Dave was not busy on Friday.  Their first game was on Friday at 5:00 so Logan and Colby were happy to get out of school at lunchtime.  They picked up Javi and Jose in Cashmere and made it over to Lacey.  They won this game 3-0.  Once they won, Kelley and Patty started making their way too (had they lost, Dave was just coming straight home).  They stayed the night at Patty's sister's house in Puyallup.  The Saturday game was at 8:15 in the morning and they won again, 6-0.  Logan had 2 great saves and a blocked penalty kick in this game.  So I knew we were in the championship game at 2:30 on Sunday.  Logan really wanted to stay the night again so they did and Presley, Rylan, Harper, Rosie (Javi's mom), and I drove over on Sunday morning to watch the championship game.  Dave didn't take one picture on either Friday or Saturday.

Championship game vs. Sparta (Sunday, April 27th)

It rained. ALOT.
Not just rain, HAIL.  And they called the game for a delay to wait for the storm to pass.
I was so afraid that Logan's hands were going to be numb.  It was cold.

Logan making a save in the first half.
But at halftime the score was 0-1.  Sparta scored on a corner kick.

At halftime, Ry and Presley ran and played.

And the second half Logan stood around waiting for the ball to come close to his end of the field.
And that happened only once.
He blocked that shot.
And Cobras scored 4 times.
The final score was 4-1.

Awesome job our sweet Goalie!!
