First Day of School

 Harper started school on Tuesday, August 29th

EIGHTH GRADE

She had volleyball right after school so her arms were full this morning. 

We took Ry to lunch for his final day of summer

Presley started her SENIOR year of college today!

Dave didn't have to work until the afternoon so he made Ry a breakfast burrito this morning. 

Rylan started his JUNIOR year on Wednesday, August 30th

We picked up Chewy today from the puppy resort this morning.

Rylan decided to finally clear out his backpack today. 

I didn't even know he got some academic awards at the end of the year.

Ry attended a camp at Columbia Basin College this weekend. 

We stayed with Grandma and Papa, met new puppy Tillie, shopped for school clothes, and celebrated Miryn's September birthday with cake and card games. 

Birthday Party and Back to School Breakfast

 August seems to last approximately 6 seconds long so I was thankful to get a trip to the waterslides and Harper's back to school breakfast scheduled in before the start of the school year. 

I don't know what I was thinking but I allowed Harper to invited too many girls than I actually had seats for in my car, so Rylan helped me by taking a car up to Lake Chelan too (he was invited to bring a friend and stay with us but he did not want to). 

We listened to Rapunzel, Moana, and Taylor Swift on the way up, and Rylan played rap, country and Rapunzel.

I had rented a cabana so the kids got right to the water and I kicked my feet up, relaxed all afternoon, and ordered food and snacks. 

And did a little bird watching...

Beach Volleyball with some boys from their school that they unexpectedly found. 

 A stop for ice cream on the way home.

The girls slept over and they swam and opened presents. 

They slept downstairs in the movie room and I did a little back to school breakfast the next morning once they all woke up.

Harper hasn't had SnapChat for several months now and it was the one thing she wanted (back) for her birthday. 

It was a fun surprise for her to open her cake and see the SnapChat icon on her cake

(and I had messed up the frosting on that side so I placed that print over the mess)

Presley's GOLDEN birthday: Turning 20 on the 20th

 Spokane had two major wildfires break out this past week, and with a few detours, we were able to get to Spokane to see Presley on her birthday.

We took her out to lunch at her choice, "Texas Roadhouse", and then to Trader Joe's.

Then we went back to her place for cake and presents. 

We made it back home about 8:30, the smoke was getting worse and Dave wanted to get home before it got too dark. 

We were so happy to get to be with her today!  

Logan texted me this while we were on our way home.
