QUARAN-THINGS (kid updates)

Logan
Logan is the most active out of all of us this quarantine.  He hikes, bikes, runs, does pull-ups, lifts weights, plays/practices soccer, and has recently started doing yoga.
One of his school assignments has been to watch certain genres of movies and write an analysis.
So far, Dave and him have watched Unforgiven, Shawshank Redemption, The Truman Show,  and Predator.  He's also had to make us dinner a couple of times for his Adulting 101 class. I don't know what he's doing for his other classes, but he tells us "it's all under control".
He's read the first Harry Potter and The Three Musketeers
He's eating really healthy and likes my crockpot seasoned chicken (if it's not too dry), taco salads, salmon and asparagus.
He watches lots of shows on his IPad from Hulu and Netflix.
He's learned how to play Texas Hold 'Em.
He doesn't talk much about graduation--seems pretty "whomp whomp" about it.
Logan has some pretty big decisions to make regarding college next year:  The University of Portland is considering a late start to their fall semester which may include remote learning.  The soccer league that UP is in includes Washington and California schools,  and their fall semesters are very uncertain right now too.   Any changes to the soccer season majorly effects Logan's plans regarding playing and having some of his schooling covered by scholarship money.
He's being recruited to play soccer at other schools with less restrictions (and more academic and athletic scholarship $) and he is seriously considering attending.
He misses his friends.

Presley
Presley has been staying active doing online workouts with her trainer, and a little bit of running.
She's finishing her school year and academic assignments strong--she's on top of it! She's been enjoying her science fiction short stories and the poetry lessons for English.
She was accepted into the WVC Running Start program so she teases Logan they'll be college freshmen together.
She watches Netflix and Hulu--Greenhouse Academy, Love Island, old Survivor series, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine
She's done a couple of social distance meet ups with her friends by sitting in the backs of their cars and talking.
Presley and I have done multiple Tik-Tok dances, but they're never, and will never be, published.
She loves Chewy and driving with him to the coffee shop.
She has a babysitting job on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursday afternoons for a soccer family we know.
She's discovered and loves online shopping.
She would also like to mention that "I beat Logan in Texas Hold Em' and took 2nd place against my family".

Rylan
Rylan is probably the happiest in quarantine.
He's happy doing online work at his own pace, happy to be down in his room on his own, happy to sleep in, happy to not have anywhere to be!
He tells me ,"this needs to last a couple more weeks, just to be safe."
He does miss seeing his friends, but they text and FaceTime and Ry participates in all of his class google meets so he does "see" everyone.
Loves playing Roblox and Minecraft.
He keeps the mini-fridge on his desk stocked with sprite and bottled water.
We have to remind him to be active throughout the day so he does play 21 in basketball, bikes or runs with Logan, or swims.
He likes when I make him Mac and cheese for dinner and Dad BBQ's steaks.
He watches YouTube and Netflix on his phone.
He got his first pair of Birkenstocks so now he matches Dad and Logan.
I read his texts the other night and a girl texted him "what are you doing?", and Ry replied, "Going to bed, good night"...It was 7:38. ha ha!

Harper
Quarantine has been boring for her.  She misses her friends and cousins.
She's not a fan of online schooling, but likes doing her work at her own pace (we've finished up some weekly assignments on Sunday).
She would not like the same teacher she's had this spring (ME!)
She loves spending time with Chewy.
Rides her bike to get the mail for me and swims with someone everyday.
She likes face-timing her friends.
She's sleeps in Rylan's room often and likes sleeping in.  Once in a while she makes me breakfast.
She says its been hard to stay home all day, everyday.
Wears her hair in braids almost every day.

Chewy
We're not sure who's being potty trained:  him or us?
He's sleeping through the night pretty well.
Dave takes him out first thing in the morning.
He's doing great on the leash and likes to take our family walks.
He's not a fan of the pool or baths.
Loves treats and chewy bones!
