The Last Few Days of Summer

On Friday, August 24th Dave took Ry and Harper to Silverwood with Samee, Miryn, and Grandma.
When they arrived, Silverwood was having a power outage so they had to wait around for a while before getting in.
It was a little chillier, and they never made it to the Boulder Beach Water Park.

But they had a super time!
MIryn had left a few things at our house when they came for Logan's birthday.
Dave was returning it to them today.
He strapped in her bunny for a safe ride :).

They did the train ride first.
In the back seats

On the log ride.
Poor Miryn was too short , and poor Dave was too tall for this ride...ha ha!

I stayed back home with Logan and Presley.
It was freshman orientation day, picture, day and the first dance "Summer Breeze" of the year.

The Ignite Leaders.
Logan--far left.
(He's really trying to make the Hydroflask sling a thing this year)

Presley wasn't in his group, but he made goodie bags with this tag and Pop Rocks.
I had one extra so I packed one for Presley on the 2nd day of school.

Presley's freshman ASB.
Logan's Junior ASB.

That night was the Summer Breeze high school dance.
Presley went up to her friend's house to have dinner and go together with a group of friends.
The theme was '80's so the girls wore scrunchies.
They weren't sure how far to take the theme so they played it safe.

Logan's friend made his T-Shirt.
He's wearing Pac-Man sandals.

On Saturday, Amy and Mylee met Dave's group in Spokane and they toured around Coeur d'Alene a little before heading home.
There was a boat show on the boardwalk.

Harper got a few presents to open today at breakfast.
I thought Dave's text was so funny!

It was gross and smoky here today so I took Presley and Logan to Inspirations Cafe.

Logan had his first soccer game of the fall season on Sunday.
They played in the Apple Bowl and tied 1-1.
Because of the smoke, the boys haven't been able to practice, and it really showed today.

Monday was Rylan's 6th grade orientation.
He received his schedule and his locker and PE locker.
It was a lot to take in.
I thought he seemed very nervous at the beginning, but he was asked to be a leader in the game they played in the gym, and he warmed up a bit.
He was struggling with his locker at first, and then I realized I had shown him the wrong one.
Once he got on the right one, it came pretty quick.

Ry brought 3 things to put in his locker today.
A magnet container, a dry erase board, and a bottle of hand sanitizer.
I think the hand sanitizer will be used the most!

Tuesday was Mylee's First Day of her Senior Year!

And these two were practicing what it should look like when siblings see each other in the hall at school.
Presley and I thought that Logan had his arms out to give her a hug (which of course, he would never do, we just thought he was playing).
But he told us that that's what he would look like walking down the hall with a girl on each arm.
Oh Brother!!
