On Friday, October 28th I picked up Rylan, Harper, and Presley about 30 minutes before school was out and drove to Smallwoods Farm in Peshastin.
Logan was volunteering at the football game, which started after school, so he didn't join us.
We had a busy weekend of The Battle of the Bridges, two birthday parties, one away soccer game in Tacoma, and also 3 home games on Sunday.
So a 30 minute early release worked for us!
The kids were surprised I picked them up a little early.
I missed not having Logan and Dave here with us.
We got there and the pumpkin selection was not great, but we found 4 that would get the job done.
These pumpkins were heavy, but Presley and Ry loaded them in the back for me.
Then we went to the prop maze.
Rylan made it out first this year.
Then he went back in for Harper and guided her out.
Presley finally made it out and we decided to get in teams and see which group could find their way out first.
Together Ry and I beat Presley and Harper.
Slow Pokes!
We went to feed the chickens.
(I love that Ry is scratching his booty here).
Harper was a fan of feeding the animals.
She tried to sneak up to hold this chicken.
(I don't know what she would have done if she'd actually been able to hold onto it).
Then we walked over to the petting zoo and fed the animals.
The goats and llamas are not timid at all.
The white one was trying to grab the whole bag from Presley.
Rylan and harper were very concerned about this cow.
The sign explains that she was born with a birth defect and walks with a limp.
Harper fed her through this tube because anytime she would try to feed her by hand, the other animals would swoop in and steal the food.
Rylan was not a fan of the animal slobber on his hands.
He was much happier throwing the food in to the pens, chasing the rabbits and reading the trivia signs.
