Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 4

Day 22, Wednesday, January 22nd
Logan told me he was ready for a haircut.

Day 23, Thursday, January 23
Dave was heading out of town to San Diego so we had lunch at Red Robin before he left.

Day 24, Friday, January 24th
Rylan and his mommy

Day 25,  Saturday, January 25th
Leaving Wenatchee to Logan's basketball tournament in Hermiston.
Thankful for clear roads today.

Day 26, Sunday, January 26th
At Logan's Hermiston tournament.
I actually did bring my nice camera and I took one picture and discovered I didn't have my SD card in it.

Day 27, Monday, January 27th
Presley stayed home from school today with a cough, sore throat, fever, and runny nose.  She spent the day watching movies and reading on her Kindle.

Day 28, Tuesday, January 28th
After school and Ry likes to relax by playing an electronic game.
Very much like his Daddy here.
Occasionally Dave parents will call Dave to have him help with some IPhone, IPad, ITunes, or EMail question and he'll have to go over to their house and figure it out.  I think this will be Ry for us.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 3

Day 15, Wednesday, January 15th
It was Pajama Day at Harper's pre-school.
These are actually an old pair of Presley's pj's that she chose to wear.

Day 16, Thursday, January 16th
Harper's morning gymnastics class.
She will rarely bathe on Thursdays for fear the foot stamp will wash off.

Day 17, Friday, January 17th
Logan's AAU team had a tournament this week-end and his first game was on Friday night. Everyone was wearing their Wenatchee Purple.  They won tonight.

Day 18, Saturday, January 18th
This week-end was a sports week-end.  Logan had an indoor soccer game in between his 2 basketball games today. It was a winning day in both soccer and basketball.

Day 19, Sunday, January 19th
Champions!!
6th Grade AAU brought home the championship in the Steve Talbot Tournament.
Close game against Eastmont for the win, 35-32.

Day 20, Monday, January 20th
No school on Martin Luther King Day meant a slow morning.
Presley doing Harper's hair.
This makes me so happy.

But maybe not as happy as this jewel...
me doing Amy's hair for homecoming (1988 ?)
Side pony with a scrunchie.

Maybe Presley will let Harper do her hair for a big school dance someday.

Day 21, Tuesday, January 21st

Rylan's Martin Luther King artwork:
I have a dream that all people will not fight, that will be happy.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 2

Day 8, Wednesday, January 8
After school, snack time.
This is about a perfect picture of Rylan...always in motion

Day 9, Thursday, January 9
Ry learned the "I Love You" sign in kindergarten and once in a while he flashes it to me as he's getting out of the car at drop off for school.  My camera happened to be out this morning because I was videotaping Harper in the back throwing a tantrum.

Day 10, Friday, January 10
Dave received an award from his work...A bottle of Dom Perignon.
Pretty fancy and we're saving it for a special occasion.

Day 11, Saturday, January 11
At bedtime and Dave was teasing Harper by taking her Mickey ears and then she was trying to get them back.  This is typical bedtime--I'm trying to get them calm and Dave is trying to wind them up.

Day 12, Sunday, January 12
Morning baths, watching NFL playoff football (Denver won), building the Golden Ninja set Ry bought with some of his Christmas money, and Logan took a trip with his good friend Riley to Seattle to watch a Huskies basketball game.

Day 13, Monday, January 13
This has been the most beautiful and sunny January.  It has been remarkably warm.  Presley and I were on our way to her gymnastics and Logan was riding Presley's scooter down at the circle area.  I love his smile and don't feel like I see it enough these days.  Presley's been working hard at mastering a back bend in gymnastics.

Day 14, Tuesday, January 14
Harper during rest time reading a book.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 1

I'm going to attempt to do a weekly post of a picture a day this year.
Wish me luck on that...

Day 1, Wednesday January 1
Why yes, yes I did make matching shirts to ring in 2014.
We spent New Year's Day at California Adventure.
These are my loves.

Day 2, Thursday, January 2
We spent this day in Disneyland all day.
I love this photo of us going down Splash Mountain.
Classic Dave "I know exactly where the ride's photo camera is".
Love him, love the screaming children, love Harper's smile.

Day 3, Friday, January 3
We woke up early this morning and ALL 12 of us got into California Adventure at 7:45.  We were lined up as they officially opened the gates.  I don't know if I've ever been right at opening time. We really, really wanted Fast Passes to the new Cars ride, Radiator Springs.  Thomas ran to get the fast passes and the rest of us lined up and waited in line for our first ride.  We had to wait about 45 minutes (usually this ride has a 2 hour wait).  This was actually our second time (this time we used our Fast Passes) and had to wait only about 15 minutes.  It was one of my favorite rides.  My car did not win either time. This is all the adults:
Papa, Leanna, Dave (in front)
Grandma, Amy, Thomas (in back)
All six of the kids rode together in a car right ahead of us.

Day 4, Saturday, January 4
These two sweet cousins at the airport waiting to board.  Harper "weally wanted ears like Al-son".

Day 5, Sunday, January 5th
Since we weren't home on the 1st, we read through our 2013 memories on this night.
Such a fun look back over the year.

Day 6, Monday, January 6
Back to the grind...school and homework greeted us today.
We were NOT ready for it.

Day 7, Tuesday, January 7
This is after basketball practice.
Logan got new bands on his braces.
He went with a green and white pattern for his soccer team colors.

November and December picture re-cap

I didn't do a very good job of doing an end of the month post every single month.  Here's the pictures that were left on my phone and on my computer desk top.  These are all from November and December 2013.

I made these cute signs for me, Samee, and Amy, and Cristy for her birthday.
Dave helped me put the vinyl lettering on.
Presley is in her school's choir.  She gives up recess once a week for practice time.
Shes in the front and center.  This is at her school's Veteran's Day assembly.
We took the kids to see the all district play, "Shrek".
It was kind of long for our kids.
Logan played in his first 6th grade AAU tournament.
He practiced a lot over the summer, but he was a bit rusty.
Logan got to change out his braces rubber bands.
It's hard to tell but he got rainbow (neon) bands.
Each bracket had a different color.
Harper picked this outfit out and dressed herself one morning.
Stripes, floral, polka dots, leopards and a tank top.
Seems about right for November.
One day after gymnastics I found her looking at her first year scrapbook.
This is exactly why I made them.
Harper doesn't take too many naps anymore.
This day she clearly needed one.
I found her on the office floor like this.

I thought my door wreath turned out so cute.

Presley's Basketball Season

In an effort to try to stay in monthly order I want to make sure I post about Presley's basketball season.

Her recreation team played from November through the middle of December.  She is not competitive AT. ALL.  She did score in every game though.  Dave told her she could do a cartwheel if she scored 3 times in a game, and I was half expecting her to during the second game when she did make 3 baskets.  She did a lot of smiling and little leaps when she scored and always looked at us afterwards to make sure we were watching.   She also dribbles only with her right hand.  But for someone who does not practice basketball at home we thought she played through the season pretty well.
And this little girl did a lot of coloring during games.

It was a fun basketball season.

Christmas at the Kreider's

We were on a Christmas high when we made it over to Leanna's parents house.  The kids were excited to be there and to get to stay the night at Little Grandpa and Papa's house (this is what Harper calls my parents).  I only took a few pictures here because in all the wrapping paper I misplaced my camera and didn't find it again until we cleaned up.

I was thankful to get a cousin picture though.

Baby Miryn didn't feel too good today.  But she was still the cutest elf!!

Thomas and Dave

The last picture I took before I set my camera down and it was buried in wrapping paper.
Harper loved her new baby and her winter headband.

We stayed the night, and the next morning Dave and Logan went out searching for a new (working) PSVita and then we headed home about two.  I had a lot to do in four days to be ready for our upcoming Disneyland trip!!

We all had a very Merry Christmas.
