There were lots of senior last-week activities that we were so looking forward to.
One of those was when the Seniors walk through their elementary school and middle school and teachers and students line the hallways and give high fives.
Harper, Rylan, and Logan had been talking about this day for a long time!
And of course, that couldn't happen...
But!
I texted a few of the parents I knew from Sunnyslope, and organized a Sunnyslope Senior Day for Sunday, May 31st.
Several grads came in their caps and gowns to take pictures in front of their elementary school.
And another parent texted some teachers and they came too.
Each 5th grader writes a letter to themselves to be opened at their graduation, and the teacher gives them this at the elementary walk through, and they came with these too.
Kelly G. took lots of pictures for us all!
With the teachers that knew about it and showed up.
(Reading Colby's letter)
Reading his own to himself.
And then Mrs. King told them that they were all going to sit in a circle and read their letters out loud to one another (if a parent had said this, there is no way they would have done it, but they all listened to their 5th grade teacher).
Logan reading his out loud to the group.
( I asked permission from Logan to post his letter)
They were all very similar and funny like this.
This was one of the girls in his 5th grade class....she read her letter out loud and it specifically mentioned her having a crush on Logan N.
