Day 172, Thursday, June 21st
Harper's final day of volleyball camp and she was named one of three campers of the week. Her award was for Positive Attitude.
Her note today says, 'You improved so much on your serves and your hits!  You always play with such a big smile and great attitude!  You rock!"

(the high school players were the coaches and knew that Harper was Logan's little sister)

Day 173, Friday, June 22nd
Rylan did a robotics camp at the middle school all week.
This was him and his partner's robot.
He really enjoyed this.

Day 174, Saturday, June 23rd
Dave, Logan, and I volunteered to construct Sunnyslope's new playground.
It was a lot of work!

Day 175, Sunday, June 24th
Papa stayed the night with us last night, but I barely saw him.
He came to our house after his wedding about 10:30, I fed him a cup of noodles, glass of milk, and a ding dong, and he was out the door by 7:45.
I heard him backing out and ran out to wave to him.
He left us this note on the kitchen table.

Dave and Logan went to play a team in Issaquah today in preparation for the National Tourney next week.
They won this game.

Father's Day Week-End

Papa Nelson had bought a new greenhouse and had asked for help building it.
Ry, Logan, and Dad drove to Waterville on Saturday to help with that and they were interrupted by a hail storm!

Rylan had a soccer game that evening so Papa and Grandma joined us for dinner and then came to the first half of Rys game.
(No ry in the picture because it was halftime as they left)

On Sunday, the girls heard the TV on and came in to snuggle with Dad.

We went out to see the Incredibles 2

Dave took Ry and Logan to their PASS Academy training in the late afternoon, and then came back home to ride bikes in the evening.

We love Dad!

Last Day of School: June 15th, 2018

August 30th, 2017
First Day of School
June 15th, 2018
Last Day of School
(Logan was up this morning, but his last final was on Thursday the 14th so that was his official last day of school.  He was being a butt head about taking a picture, and I just wasn't up to making him come stand out on the porch.)

It was a big morning for our two graduates.
About a month ago, his teacher sent home a letter explaining the dress code for 5th grade promotion.
He has really wanted us to rent him a tuxedo so the bow tie he picked out was actually a compromise.
(this coming from the kid who wore active shorts or soccer pants and tee shirts pretty much every day this school year).

Dad straightening his bow tie.

Woah!  Presley looked so beautiful and grown up.
I love that Ry chose to wear the shoes that are embroidered with the name Logan on the side.
(the same ones Logan wore for his 5th grade graduation ceremony)
I went searching for a picture of Logan at his 5th grade promotion wearing the same shoes that Ry did,  and this was the only one where you could see the shoes.

And Harper graduating 2nd grade.
I'll no longer have a kid in the K-2 wing of the school.

Both Presley and Rylan had their promotion ceremonies.

It was a half day of school, so we watched some World Cup soccer.
The kids swam.
(Presley was at an 8th grade party).
Dave and Logan headed to Yakima for a friendly soccer game.
And Presley stayed the night with her friends.

Ry and Harper celebrated the end of the school year with some Sumo Hibachi.
Another 5th grade student and her mom were there too and they congratulated Rylan on winning the principal leadership award.

And the nightly musical beds have begun!
Harper and Rylan sleeping together in Presley's bed since she was at her friends house.

Welcome to summer!

Last Few Days of School

Rylan had the big puberty talk at school.
He was flexing his arm muscles at dinner one night, and Dave said, "I wonder why you're getting so strong?" (thinking he'd say push ups or soccer workouts or something like that) and he said, "It's puberty."

Ry took his field trip to tour Foothills Middle School.
Presley was his group's ASB Leader.

Rylan won some athletic awards at his school.

Sunnyslope BBQ day.
I was happy that Ry and his friends came to sit with me and eat.
Harper's friends too!
Presley went to her first middle school dance.
It was a Hawaiian theme.
She said the most danced to song was Miley Cyrus', "Party in the USA".
Rylan was in the geography bee for his school.
He went out on Morocco, accidentally pointing to Monaco...UGH!
He actually did study for this over the weekend.

The graduating class goes to visit their former schools.
This is Presley's friend, Grace, who was also a teen director of Aladdin.

Ry's field trip to Rotary Park.
Presley's bowling alley field trip.

She also got to have an ice cream treat with her friend Kate today.

Wait, what?   Our Mylee is a senior!
Celebrating end of the year test victories!

This was June 14th.
I knew Dave would be taking her to school on the last day so that I could get a good seat for us for the 5th grade ceremony.
She flashed me the "I Love You" sign probably for the last time and I caught it!

She also got her 8th grade Ochoa award today...
