Our Fourth of July

The fourth of July has become such a fun holiday for us.
(When Ry saw my sign, he asked why I included snow flakes...an artist I am not)
We love summer, sun, BBQ's, patriotic decorations and food, fireworks, and spending time with friends.

We were invited over to Troy and Alicia's house for a BBQ, games, and fireworks.

Logan and Presley pretty much made the red, white, and blue strawberries this year.
( My pretty red dish fell out of the back of the car when I opened the back at 11:00 when we got home).

We made it to Troy and Alicia's at about 4 and the kids immediately went to play.
Harper, Chloe, Ava, Keeton, Rylan and Elsie.

After we ate we played Blongo Ball.
Logan was on a team with Troy's niece Kamryn and their team name was Dumb and Dumber.
We teased them about who was who.
They lost early on.
Dave and I made it to the quarter finals but lost to Troy and Alicia and then to Jerry and Amy (Troy's sister).  Troy and Alicia went on to win the whole tournament.  It's an easy,  fun game.
Rylan watched us play for a bit (he was too young to play) before he went to ride bikes up and down their street.

Our tournament took a long time and when it finished it was just dark enough to start fireworks.
Ava, Harper, and Chloe

I love this picture of all the kids watching this little firework.
It was one of the worms that grow once it's lit.

But they got bigger and better with lots of ooh's and ahhh's.
Finally, it was sparkler time...always a fun way to end the night.
In true Logan fashion, he made a little buddy tonight.
Keeton was stuck to Logan's side and Logan called him "Bubby" (that's what his sister calls him).
When we left, Logan gave Keeton a hug goodnight.

Another fun, fun holiday!!
