Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 35 (2020)

 Day 239, Wednesday, August 26th

Harper's First Day of 5th Grade...her last year of elementary school started with online schooling.

Day 240, Thursday, August 27th
Rylan's HALF birthday.
THIRTEEN AND A HALF

Day 241, Friday, August 28th
Doing a little movement video as part of her online school.

Day 242, Saturday, August 29th
Dave left early this morning to go golfing and he stopped for coffee.
They made me mine too so he quickly drove back home and I ran up the driveway to meet him for the delivery.

Day 243, Sunday, August 30th
Joe and Lanae kindly sent me an online Starbucks gift card as I recovered from surgery, and I used it today!
Harper and Ry were just lucky to be with me.

Day 244, Monday, August 31st
Rylan's First Day of EIGHTH grade.
He started at Cashmere Middle School this year.
They are online too.

Day 245, Tuesday, September 1st
In his online ZOOM meeting, trying to get picked to answer a question.
Kids are resilient, and we will never forget the beginning of this school year.

Harper's First Day of School: 8-26-20

 5th grade, here she comes!

The Wenatchee School District started the school year online,  and we had our Chromebook out, charged, and ready to go for Wednesday morning.

No need for shoes :)

Logan was the only one awake at 7:30 AM this morning.
He thought he was so smart by taking a 9 AM class. Of course, he's online now and 3 hours behind Eastern Standard Time so he's on his computer for his first class at 6 AM (but he's also done for the day by 9 AM)

Learning how to create sticky notes on Jam Board.

Presley ran to get me coffee and they wrote "Happy Teacher Appreciation Day" on the lid.

She was done by early afternoon so they all took a swim.
And she read to me outside tonight before heading to bed.

Unfortunately, Logan also got the news today that his entire first semester would be online.
I think he was expecting it.

Favorite Parts of Our Summer

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 34 (2020)

 Day 232, Wednesday, August 19th

I sent a video to Dave of me able to move my big toe.
This shows good nerve improvement.

Day 233, Thursday, August 20th
You are a dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen!

Day 234, Friday, August 21st

Grandma and Papa drove up today to pick up their motorhome from Cashmere.
We played cards in it and Harper stayed the night in it with them and Archie.

Day 235, Saturday, August 22nd
We were sitting outside watching the kids swim.
The umbrella wasn't providing enough shade on Dave's side so he snuck in real close to Grandma to share her shady spot.

Day 236, Sunday, August 23rd
Happy #ELEVEN for our Harper

Day 237, Monday, August 24th
All three kids had their physicals today (I don't know if there will be sports this year, but just in case)
Harper and Ry were playing surgery on Presley while they waited for the doctor to come in.

Day 238, Tuesday, August 25th
Harper wanted to watch the movie "Twister" on her last day of summer.

Harper's ELEVENTH Interview

A whole two hands plus 1!
Love you Harper

Presley's 17th Birthday

We set out her presents the night before.

The first look at my 17 year old.
Presley woke up early this morning and got her workout in.

Chewy was following her so she picked him up for a quick picture.
Her work out friends bought her a coffee this morning!
She got ready for the day.
She had a zoom call for college preparations.
When she saw Rylan for the day.

I sent her this earlier this week so when we ran errands I made sure to have her play Dancing Queen.
I got a few texts that Sexy and Seventeen and the Beatles' I Saw Her Standing There would work too.

She wanted grilled hamburgers and Caesar salad for dinner tonight.
She also loves watermelon.
She opened presents and received a recipe box with her Great Great Grandma Olive's Mahogany Cake recipe inside.
Logan pointing out a funny picture in Joe and Lanae's card.
Pandemic birthday--a mask from the Lindholm's.
We asked Harper what she thought she was going to get from the Lindholm's and she replied "candy".
I think she could be wrong with that guess.

I just loved how Ry was singing with such gusto!

We ended her birthday with a family swim!
Jumping into that 17th year...
