Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 17 (2020)

Day 113, Wednesday, April 22nd
It was a chilly and rainy day.  You can see the steam coming off the pool.
They're all yelling at Chewy to come to them to prevent him from slipping through the fence.
He did come back (but he doesn't always).

Day 114, Thursday, April 23rd
Ha ha!  Presley asked me to make a happy birthday sign for her to paint for her friend's 16th tomorrow.
Oops...I don't think I should be homeschooling anyone!
(But you couldn't even tell when we hung it on Friday morn)

Day 115, Friday, April 24th
Dave and I drove to the Apple Bowl Stadium tonight.
Schools across the nation are leaving their stadium lights on from 8:20-8:40 on Friday nights to honor their senior athletes.
Logan should have been playing against Eastmont here tonight!

Day 116, Saturday, April 25th
Presley made us a cake tonight.

Day 117, Sunday, April 26th
Swimming this morning.
A local photographer was making these prints for all seniors in the valley.
I love how Logan's turned out.

Day 118, Monday, April 27th
Harper listening to her teacher read today.

Day 119, Tuesday, April 28th
Rylan and his friend playing social distance soccer at their middle school today.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 16 (2020)

Day 106, Wednesday, April 15th
Kids playing in the pool.
They were trying to steal the big pool noodles from Logan.
It's hard to get past such great security.

Day 107, Thursday, April 16th
Our evening walk along the canal tonight.
And we made it home in time for the Disney sing along.

Day 108, Friday, April 17th
Harper had an online Math is Cool competition.
It was a partner quiz so her and Ellie were able to work together.

Day 109, Saturday, April 18th
We got a new game called Shut and Box

Day 110, Sunday, April 19th
Presley's friend, Isa, brought over a bracelet she made.
They're "hugging" each other goodbye here.

Day 111, Monday, April 20th
Presley meeting with her counselor today to talk her Running Start schedule.

Day 112, Tuesday, April 21st
I spotted two mermaids in the pool today.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 15 (2020)

Day 99, Wednesday, April 8th
The first day in the pool.
We are very thankful for the nice spring weather, but the pool was COLD still!
They just jumped in and swam to the stairs to wrap up in a towel.

Day 100, Thursday, April 9th
A ZOOM birthday party for Uncle Joe.

Day 101, Friday, April 10th
A lovely evening walk tonight

Day 102, Saturday, April 11th
Doing some outside reading

Day 103, Sunday, April 12th
Happy Easter!

Day 104, Monday, April 13th
Ry's first google meet with his core teacher and classmates

Day 105, Tuesday, April 14th
Logan is still able to backflip Harper into the water

Easter 2020

On Saturday evening we dyed our Easter eggs.
I love the way they've crossed their arms to use the color in front of each other.
Logan trying to get creative.
Presley too

Then they each had to pick their favorite creation for Dave to judge.

I didn't want too many hard boiled eggs so we did the best we could on the names.

Easter Baskets in the morning
Luckily I already had a few things put away for them, and was able to order some things that came in time.
These 3 went for a swim after breakfast.
It was a little chilly out but they had a great time.
These are their new swim suits that came in their baskets.

Rylan and Harper playing underwater

Dave made a nice ham dinner for us and Ry and Harper peeled potatoes for him.

Cheers to a Quarantine Easter

We ended the night watching Trolls 2
(Movies that we're set to be released in the theaters during COVID went directly to rent or buy through streaming services.  We rented Trolls 2 for $20.00)

Oh Chewy!
We've got to teach you how to take a proper Nelson selfie :)

A Happy Easter Together!

Quarantine's Emotional Moments

I feel like we've been pretty level headed about this quarantine:  here's what's happening and why and here's how our family is going to handle it.
But I do find myself, at times, on either end of the spectrum:   "life as we know it is over" and "let's make crafts and eat baked treats all day."

And there's been some tears too...mostly to be blamed on the overwhelming thoughts of what we're missing out on! I'm sure I'll be able to continue to add on to this post...

(Ry's teachers singing Lean on Me--this got me while I watched with Ry)

How our community is looking at ways for the seniors to graduate.

An e-mail from Harper's teacher.

Presley's friend dropped off a bracelet she made for her.
They didn't get any closer than this....and she's wearing gloves, and they're giving each other a good-bye "hug".

Another moment of tears for me.
Harper "seeing" her teacher for the first time in over a month.
Her teacher was getting emotional too!

And Ry's first google meet with his teachers too...
the teacher asked if anyone had anything to share so Ry chased Chewy down to show him off.

I hate these new floor stickers reminding me to stay 6 feet away from people.

Maybe this will be Harper's conversation/memories about the quarantine/Coronavirus one day.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 14 (2020)

Day 92, Wednesday, April 1st
These two (mostly Presley) presented me with a Power Point on why we should have the streaming service Hulu Ad-Free.

Day 93, Thursday, April 2nd

Our first family Zoom meeting

Day 94, Friday, April 3rd

When I told her to make her own lunch.
Cheetos and Oranges it is!

Day 95, Saturday, April 4th
Helping Logan wash his car today.

Day 96, Sunday, April 5th

Logan drove Dave, Presley and Rylan up Burch Mountain.

Day 97, Monday, April 6th
On our evening walk tonight.

Day 98, Tuesday, April 7th
Grandma texted that there would be a super moon tonight.
(I had read this earlier in the day but had forgot).
So I got a quick picture as it came up from behind the hillside.
I offered to teach the phases of the moon but didn't receive a warm reception on that :)
