Sunnyslope's Talent Show

Back in November Ry and Harper wanted to participate in the Sunnyslope Talent Show.
I don't remember hearing anything about it last year, but Mr. Perkins referred to it as the 2nd Annual.
Harper tried to get a couple of friends involved, but ended up doing a solo act.
Ry's 5th grade group made a one act play "After Cinderella".  He was the only boy!

On November 21st they had to audition (and everyone made it).
But they had to stand up on the stage, use the microphone, and "perform" in front of their peers.

Harper performance was telling jokes.
She racticed at home and took our suggestions (talk loudly and clearly, don't be shy) and nailed it...she really had the kids laughing.
I couldn't find her joke paper and I can't remember them all, but they were cute...
What do you call a sad berry?  A blue berry
What do you call a pig who does karate?  A pork chop (and Harper did the arm motion)
Do you know what's odd?  Every other number
What do you call a sleepy dinosaur?  A Dino-snore

(Presley has Harper's performance on video on her phone)

This is Ry's group afterwards.
He had me video them with his iPod so they could watch it again for improvements.

On Tuesday, November 28th was the final performances.
I picked up Presley and we went together.
I was so proud of them...that's not a lot of the whole school to participate.
Harper was the only 2nd grader.

This poor classmate had to carry Ry off the stage at one point.

And afterwards, up on the stage.

Mrs. Gale sent me this picture that night.
She practiced telling her jokes in class earlier that day.
