Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 12 (2015)

Day 78, Thursday, March 19th
Harper has been noticing all the blooms on the trees.
This is in front of her preschool and she wanted to pick
some flowers for me while waiting for her teacher.

Day 79, Friday, March 20th
Presley's Math is Cool competition.
This was her College Bowl Team.
  Presley answered 2 questions.

Day 80, Saturday, March 21st
After play practice Presley asked Harper to be the Dead Wicked Witch.

Day 81, Sunday, March 22nd
Taylor, Presley, and Ainsley ready to watch Cinderella.

Day 82, Monday, March 23rd
It rained all night in town and snowed in the mountains.
Wenatchee is a pretty place to live.
And I hope all that snows stays right there.

Day 83, Tuesday, March 24th
Kid #3 down and out!!
UGH, I had a mini meltdown this morning.
I'm tired of cleaning up puke, tired of cleaning sheets, and sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Day 84, Wednesday, March 25th
Not letting these two be near Presley meant staying in opposite rooms.
After school they drew and colored and stayed far away from a quarantined Presley.

Our week-end...

Friday night was Presley's 5th grade Math is Cool Competition.
Sunnyslope placed 4th in the regional competition.

Saturday morning Presley had play practice for Wizard of Oz.
She has been so excited to be a part of this.
She received her script today and was practicing while walking to the car.
When we got home, Presley wanted to practice her lines again.
So Harper played the Dead Wicked Witch of the East.
Presley did not teach her any lines to say.

On Saturday afternoon, Logan had a soccer game and tied 3-3.
Presley was invited to the Wenatchee Wild game with Kailey and Ainsley.

Logan was invited to Triston's birthday party sleep over up at their new cabin near Mission Ridge.
No mom wants to get a text message like this...

Dave was already asleep because he hadn't been feeling very well either so off I went to pick up Logan.   Tristan's dad Ty was kind to meet me at the bottom of the hill.  He has a brand new pickup and told me that he was jokingingly telling Logan to not throw up in his truck  Must have worked because we drove half a mile and Logan was vomiting in my car's garbage bag.  The plastic bag had a tiny hole in it and it was leaking onto my car mats and on Logan.  We pulled over when we saw a trash can outside of Harper's preschool and he ran out and tossed it in and then Logan came back to the car and took off his icky shorts.  It was quite a wild night.

Sunday I took Presley, Ainsley, and Taylor to Cinderella.
Have Courage and Be Kind.
I loved it!!

Logan felt much better and offered to mop for me.

After dinner we watched Wizard of Oz and Presley had her script in front of her the whole time following along.
Presley plays the munchkin on the right in the purple robe.

A good and bad weekend all in one.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 11 (2015)

Day 71, Thursday, March 12th
Harper has been telling me that she can almost climb to the top of the rope by herself at Karate Class.
This is as far as she can actually get.

Day 72, Friday, March 13th
Logan and his friend Nolan had to do a service project for one of their class assignments.
They picked up garbage along the loop after school today.
You can tell Logan was really into it.

Day 73, Saturday, March 14th
Logan's AAU tournament in Spokane meant a trip to Krispy Kreme's.
(our hotel was within walking distance)
It was also pretty cool to see John Stockton coaching his 8th grade son.

Day 74, Sunday, March 15th
Grandma and Papa drove up to watch Sundays games.
And to spend a few hours at Quest Casino.

Day 75, Monday, March 16th
It's always smart to wear sunglasses when you're brushing your teeth.

Day 76, Tuesday, March 17th
I'm one lucky mom to these kids.

Day 77, Wednesday, March 18th
I don't think Harper will soon forget how horrible that
St. Patrick's Day Shamrock Shake made her feel.

St. Paddy's Day 2015

That sneaky leprechaun used our bathroom again this year.

I made green eggs, green grapes, pears, and cereal with green milk before school.
The leprechaun left some gold coins for good luck and some green glow in the dark necklaces.

I told Ry to hold still so I could get a picture of him with his green shoes.
This is what he gave me.
I think he was being leprechaun-like.

As we were leaving for school.
After school we ran to McD's for our annual shamrock shake.
The boys had soccer tonight and Presley had play practice.
Unfortunately, I do not think Harper will ever drink a shamrock shake again.
It made an appearance again at about 1 AM all over her bed.
Not so lucky me!

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 10 (2015)

Day 64, Thursday, March 5th
Dancing in her new pink room.

Day 65, Friday, March 6th
Sisters on a spring afternoon having fun jumping.

Day 66, Saturday, March 7th
It doesn't matter if I've been married for almost 17 years.
My mom still wants to write Leanna Kreider (and then corrects herself to Nelson)

Day 67, Sunday, March 8th
We went to Logan's soccer game and Presley stayed home.
Right before we left, Harper fell funny on her arm.
This is very typical Presley: worrying about Harper's arm and also showing support for Logan in a quick text exchange.

Day 68, Monday, March 9th

Ry came home from school to show me this and then told me he's sad because he's really trying for a bronze award.  Ha ha.

Day 69, Tuesday, March 10th
Just a little evening reading put her right to sleep.

Day 70, Wednesday, March 11th
An awesome Rylan dunk!!

Old Photos

Cristy and Papa Berries went to see Great Grandma Margaret this weekend.  Cristy took some phone pics of some of the photos she found in her old photo albums.  I wanted to make sure I had them somewhere too.

Your Grandma (my mom Debi) and Cristy's mom Lanae.
This was Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's 25th wedding anniversary cake that they made together and had to haul out of Papa and Grandma Berries camper.

Amy and Leanna at that 25th wedding anniversary party.
Cristy labeled it as 1978.

Papa Berries brother Jerry, his wife Camille (she had a stroke at a young age) and Bobby Legard (Tricia's dad).

A cousins stack picture.
This was taken at the house Amy, mom, and Samee grew up in.

An uncooperative stack picture.
Tricia crying and Samee putting the chokehold on Amy.

Mom, Tricia, and Cristy

Allen Legard, Margaret Legard, and Pauline Knowles (Pom Pom)
All of my great grandparents were alive until I was 25.
Pom Pom died in 1999.
We visited Great Grandma Legard a couple weekends ago.
In June she'll be 105.

Explorer Night at Sunnyslope
Presley was explorer Father Marquette
(she's holding a Bible)

Day 58, Friday, February 27th
Rylan's 8th Birthday

Day 59, Saturday, February 28th
A little skiing on Silver Mountain

Day 60, Sunday, March 1st
A couple of special visits on our way home from Kellogg, Idaho

Day 61, Monday, March 2nd
Maybe too much public restroom use this week-end?
She was afraid to not have toilet paper covering the seat in our home bathroom.

Day 62, Tuesday, March 3rd
I'm determined to get a picture of Logan giving me the I Love You sign.
It's kind of become our morning joke.
I get my camera out and Logan flashes it for 1.2 seconds.

Day 63, Wednesday, March 4th

I think it's so sweet to get a text from another parent that compliments your child.
Kailey was selected as one of the finalists for the Jr. Apple Blossom Royalty.
She did not win (but their friend Ava did).
The thing that gets me is that Presley wrote an initial essay too and was not one that was selected to go into the second round as a finalist and yet she was still supportive of the friend that was chosen over her.  I hope Presley always has this same kind heart.
