Samee's Bridal Shower

We celebrated the bride with a "These are a few of her Favorite Things" Bridal Shower on Saturday, April 19th.

The invitation we sent out.  Amy and I worked on the lyrics one night through texting with each other.
One of our games was to have the guests try to remember as many of Samee's favorite things off the invite as they could.  One of her friends from high school actually put "woobsie" (Samee's blankie) on her list and then asked if that was listed on the invite.  Amy and I could not believe that we had forgotten to include woobsie....automatic prize gift went to Chelsea.

We asked guests to write "Keys to a Good Marriage" advice.

Some of the decorations:
We put out a few of her favorite things as decorations.
I loved the way the cupcake cake turned out.

Our take home gift.

Amy made this game:  She made a bunch of grooms using celebrity heads and we put one in an envelope taped to the bottom of each of the chairs.  The winner was the one who had our groom Nate in the envelope under her chair.  Grandma Kreider ended up with Nate Groom.
Mary got Justin Bieber Groom

Samee and her friends.  We loved how Miryn put her hand on Mary's cheek.
Happy Miryn with Grandma
and with Harper
and taking her first selfie with Cristy.

It was a fun time celebrating Samee.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 16

Day 106, Wednesday, April 16th
Ry was outside playing after school and came in with these dandelions.  He said, "I know yellow is your favorite color."

Day 107, Thursday, April 17th
I was dropping Ry off to soccer practice and I was rushing him out of the car because we were about 3 minutes late.  I told him to quickly get on the field with his team.  He ran out of the car and then back to my door with this tulip for me.  It was so sweet and was a quick reminder to enjoy these little moments.

Friday, April 18th

Today was the first anniversary of grandma's death.  I knew my mom had taken the day off from work today and since Samee's wedding shower was set for Saturday, I decided to come down a day early.  Harper and I left after her pre-school Easter egg hunt was over.  My mom and Papa planted a yellow bush in her yard, we went out to eat dinner at Casa Mia's, and then went bowling.  I think it was a good day for everyone.

Harper and I in our bowling shoes.

The kids had the bowling bumpers up.  Harper's ball was VERY slow moving but it almost always hit some pins.  She bowled a 47 and 58.
Papa didn't bowl but did watch both games.
Samee, Nate, and Miryn showed up for the second game.
Such a sweet smile.
After bowling we went back to Amy's to start setting up for Samee's shower and this little girl was up til 11.  We had a great night together.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 15

Day 99, Wednesday, April 9th
Harper's pre-school took a field trip to Rocky Reach Dam.

Day 100, Thursday, April 10th
This text came from Presley's coach, Jacinda.  Her daughter Kailey and Presley have been good friends since kindergarten.  They were playing while waiting for their soccer game to start.

Day 101, Friday, April 11th
I went to volunteer in Rylan's class and Mrs. Jansen had Rylan read his spring break story out loud to the class.  Oh, that kid!!  Apparently, my idea of a nice relaxing spring break did not jive with Rylan's plans.

Day 102, Saturday, April 12th
Rylan's first game of the spring soccer season.  He scored 2 goals.
Also,  Dave shot the woodpecker.
The kids were super excited by this.

Day 103, Sunday, April 13th
We went out to dinner and I gave each kid a dollar to try to win a stuffed animal with the claw.  Logan won this but then sweetly gave it to Presley.

Day 104, Monday, April 14th
A little trampoline jumping before bedtime.

Day 105, Tuesday, April 15th
Presley lost a tooth at school on Monday and put it under her pillow that night.  I guess the Tooth Fairy had trouble finding it so she woke to this little letter on Tuesday.

Another beautiful spring break day to be spent outside.

Day 93, Thursday, April 3rd
We went out to dinner and then to walk around Shopko.  We were trying out an outdoor swing.

Day 94, Friday, April 4th
Inspiration Ceramics with these 2.

Day 95, Saturday, April 5th
The kids played FIFA World Cup Soccer all week long.
This was one of the championship games, Presley vs. Rylan with Logan as the goalie.
Rylan won.

Day 96, Sunday, April 6th
Some early morning visitors outside the back window.

Day 97, Monday, April 7th
I brought back a little treat from the grocery store to Rylan for winning the FIFA World Cup Soccer tournament.  Harper saw this in the store (we were there because I forgot something on my list) and said, "how 'bout this for the winner?"

Day 98, Tuesday, April 8th
Presley's first soccer game of the spring season. She did great!!
