 Day 225, Sunday, August 13th

Dropping off Presley back at Gonzaga today. 

Day 226, Monday, August 14th

FaceTiming today to tell me about her Resident Advisor training. 

Day 227, Tuesday, August 15th

Took Ry to the school to shoot around and caught him getting some dunks in too. 

Day 228, Wednesday, August 16th

Harper told me this is Ry in the "golden hour" 

Day 229, Thursday, August 17th

Dave made it home from Dallas tonight and Chewy was more than excited to see him. 

Day 230, Friday, August 18th

We went to watch "The Great Outdoors" tonight up at Ohme Gardens outdoor area. 

It was a fun thing to do. 

Day 231, Saturday, August 19th

First week of training complete :)

Weekend Review

 

Presley texted us asking if we wanted an afternoon coffee as this would be her last Java Dog run for a while.

She always takes Chewy for a drive and they give him a pup cup. 

Good-bye's to Logan on Friday, August 12th. 

Harper was leaving for a movie with friends so they said their good-byes earlier in the afternoon. 

Dave and Logan stayed the night Friday night in Seattle for an early Saturday flight. 

He made it to West Virginia in time for pre-season meetings and conditioning/training.

The Larson Family was in Wenatchee visiting family this week so we were able to get together for a few hours on Saturday evening.

Such fun to see everyone together again this summer.

Sometimes I just needed to not make eye contact with Presley so the pretty sunflowers were a nice distraction. 

She has the cutest apartment on the 3rd floor. 

I texted this to Presley when we left.

But, year 2 good-byes were a lot easier for us!

Dave bought me a new purse and I re-framed a picture of our first sunrise as a married couple.  

This picture was taken by Dale Blair from his hotel room the morning after we were married and given to us as a present.  

I found it in the garage while I was reorganizing earlier this summer. 

We went and had dinner at Gastro Pub. 

And when we came home, Presley had some gifts and had made us no-bake cookies. 

The kids gave us a 25 year Christmas ornament and a photo of the night sky in Pasco on August 8, 1998. 

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 32 (2023)

Day 218, Sunday, August 6th

Ry went to a Max Hoops basketball camp this weekend in Portland. 

Dave and Presley went with him and they shopped while he was at camp. 

Day 219, Monday, August 7th

Harper found her charging cord for her hoverboard, charged it up, and tried to ride it again. 

She took a fall doing a trick.

Day 220, Tuesday, August 8th

Our 25th anniversary

Day 221, Wednesday, August 9th

Presley went with us to our Applarian meeting tonight. 

They were so thrilled to get to see her. 

Day 222, Thursday, August 10th

Grandma and Papa Nelson joined us for dinner and to celebrate August birthdays tonight. 

Day 223, Friday, August 11th

Dave and Logan left tonight to stay the night in Seattle for his 6 AM flight tomorrow back to West Virginia.

Day 224, Saturday, August 12th 

The Larson family came into town for a few days and we were able to have dinner and hang out with them for a few hours at Troy's house.  

(Ry had already left after Dave and him won the ladder ball tournament) 

Lake Valhalla

 Dave took Presley, Ry, and Harper on a day hike this summer. 

They hiked to Lake Valhalla, and originally thought it was 7 miles round trip. 

But Dave unknowingly took them on the longer route and it ended up being 11'ish miles. 

(Logan was leaving to Watershed today and couldn't make it)
