Genetics are neat: Comparison Picture

Lanae sent me this picture to me.
She labeled it February 1982.
I would have been about 7 1/2 years old.
It must have been one of my first years playing basketball.

I emailed Lanae back to tell her that I thought I saw a lot of Ry in me.
(and that's odd because I always see Dave in Ry)
But he has this precious gap between his two front teeth right now so maybe that's what it was.

Ry: 2012 (5 years old)

Ry:  2013 (6 years old)

I opened it up on the computer and Dave came by and said, "woah, that looks a lot like          ".
(Did he agree with me?  Or did he say one of the other kiddos?)

Logan:  December 2010 (9 years old)
Presley:  2012 (9 years old)

Presley: May 2012 (8 3/4 years)

Harper:  September 2014 (5 years old)

Dave's answer...

Father Daughter Dance

Our sweet girls always look forward to the Father Daughter Dance.
We always make it a family day.  We head to the Tri-Cities.
We go over to the Lindholm's house.
Presley and Harper get fancied up with Alyson and Mylee.
They get to spend a fun evening with their Dad, eating a nice dinner and dancing.
It's just a fun night to spend together.
We left our house about 12:00 and got to Grandma and Papa's by 2:15.

Grandma had a lunch that day so she made it back home by about 3.
We all headed over to the Lindholm's.
We walked in and found Mylee washing off her face mask.

Alyson was so sweet to do Presley's nails.

Amy did Presley's hair and a little make up.
And Alyson's hair.
And Mylee's too, but I didn't catch a picture of that.
Rylan was taking it all in.
I worked on Harper's hair, slowly but surely, it got done.
She's not the most patient.
But she was so cute and excited.
(She did not wear the fairy wings, but we did get to bring them home.)
She accessorized herself tonight :).
Alyson was done early tonight too.
I loved her necklace and earrings combo.
Girls with curls are my favorite!!
Dad and his girls all ready to go.
I did not tell Harper to add the foot pop.
With a "standing on his tip toes" Papa Berries.
 Cousins!!
Mylee, Thomas, and Alyson
With the Dads
At the last minute, Nate, Samee and Miryn made it over to Amy's.
Yay for all the cousins together.
(I think a flash was going off at the exact same time as this picture was taken)

Miryn liked playing the piano.
They were more than ready to get to the dance.

Miry entertained us for a bit, side stepping and chasing Minnie, eating meatballs and cuddling Logan.

I texted Dave and asked him to take some pictures for me and he texted these back to me.
They were singing along to a Taylor Swift song.
Papa is always the DJ for this dance so it's fun to get to see him.
And dance with him too!!

Logan and Rylan always gets to hang out with the ladies tonight.
Grandma treated them to Red Lobster.

Dave, Presley, and Harper got back to my mom's at about 9:45 and we hit the road home.
(Logan had a 10 AM basketball practice.)
We made it back by 12:20.
Another great Father Daughter Dance!!

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 5 (2015)

Day 29, Thursday, January 29th
No, Costco, no.  You should only be able to buy Hawaiian Macademia Nuts in Hawaii.

Day 30, Friday, January 30th
Logan helped me out tonight by brushing and flossing Rylan's teeth.

Day 31, Saturday, January 31st
Father-Daughter Dance in Tri-Cities.

Day 32, Sunday, February 1st
Seahawks vs. Patriots
Seahawks came up short 24-28 this year

Day 33, Monday, February 2nd
First day for school in the month of love so we needed a heart dress.

Day 34, Tuesday, February 3rd
Sometimes I just let the boys wrestle and play rough.
And it always ends in crying.
The Black Ninja was trying to defeat the Logan Monster.

Day 35 Wednesday, February 4th
This pretty young lady made the rule that in the morning each kid has to say something nice about the other ones through the month of February.
Another Presley funny this week:  She was laying on the couch with Dave and I and was rubbing her legs and announced, "I think I'm Sasquatch's sister".
I love her loving heart.
