While Presley was finishing up her Apple Blossom duties, Harper and Ry were competing in volleyball and basketball.
Harper's volleyball tournament was local (so lucky!) so we were able to play at Foothills and Pioneer Middle Schools. They are both close enough that we could drive back and forth to help Presley with her needs and drive Rylan to his team breakfast, team shoot around, and to catch the bus (we don't want him to drive yet, and we do want him to drive already :))
Harper started early this morning and won 2 out of the 3 matches, and that put them in the championship bracket for the afternoon.
We moved to Pioneer and they lost both of their matches there. But we still had to stick around for reffing.
Rylan had a loser out playoff game against Chelan tonight.
Chelan has won us 3 straight times, each by 25-30 points.
We weren't expecting much, and we had arranged for another parent to bring Rylan home from the bus so that Dave could take off right at the end of the game and make it back in time to see the last 30 minutes or so of the pageant.
BUT, Cashmere boys basketball had other plans.
They took Chelan to OVERTIME!
Cashmere did lose in overtime but Ry had a fabulous game.
This did make Dave late and he couldn't make it back to get to see the end of the pageant.
I couldn't get reception inside the auditorium but when I stepped out during intermission my phone started beeping texts and updates and I was able to listen to the last few minutes.
The next morning Ry was showing me some highlights of his game and we couldn't help but laugh at Dave.
He couldn't be missed :)
Presley left to head back to Gonzaga after her royalty breakfast
And we relaxed and watched the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Philadelphia Eagles int he Super Bowl
What an exciting and memorable weekend!
