Smallwoods and Carving Pumpkins

 We visited Smallwoods on Sunday, October 16th. 

One of Harper's friends was able to join. 

Not sure how accurate the apple sign is, but Ry was excited it shows him as over 6 feet tall.

We carved pumpkins on the 30th, after Rylan got home from the Seahawks game.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 43 (2022)

 Day 295, Saturday, October 22nd

Ry had away games on Saturday and Sunday so they stayed the night in Seattle. 

They went to see the movie "Black Adam" and went to a theatre with the reclining chairs. 

Day 296, Sunday, October 23rd

Presley had a nice weekend with us but she headed back to school today. 

Day 297, Monday, October 24th

Ry has PE the last class of the day and I showed up a few minutes early to pick him up and saw him walking back to the gym.  

I think they played basketball outside.  

He's the last student in the black sweatshirt. 

Day 298, Tuesday, October 25th

It was dress like a soccer mom today at school. 

Day 299, Wednesday, October 26th

Harper and I went to a murder mystery at the Cashmere Library tonight. 

I listen to a lot of true crime and we still did not guess the correct suspect. 

Day 300, Thursday, October 27th

I was running late to pick up Ry from soccer practice so he had to go with Dave to the bowling alley (Dave fills in on a team when he's needed). 

He came walking out with Dinner #2.

Day 301, Friday, October 28th

Ry's friend joined us as we walked through the Wenatchee Valley's Haunted Museum. 

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 42 (2022)

Day 288, Saturday, October 15th

Our air quality continues to be poor so we moved our "home" soccer game to the fields in Quincy, where there were blue skies. 

We ran into Logan's old soccer coach Javier, and sent this pic to Logan. 

Day 289, Sunday, October 16th

Our annual trip to Smallwoods Farm. 

Harper's friend was able to join us. 

Day 290, Monday, October 17th

The last week of volleyball started today with a win over a Moses Lake school. 

Day 291,  Tuesday, October 18th

Sometimes you pass your husband on the way to school drop off and he's ready with a coffee for you. 

Day 292, Wednesday, October 19th

Harper was Student of the Month (Respect) for September. 

Mr. Ortega nominated her and we showed up for a surprise assembly. 

It was the first "in-person" assembly in 2 years so it was nice to get to go. 

Day 293, Thursday, October 20th

Harper (setting the ball) for her final game today vs. Cashmere Middle School 7th graders. 

Day 294, Friday, October 21st

Presley came home today for the weekend.

Ry made sure she knew she's been missed. 

 

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 41 (2022)

 Day 281, Saturday, October 8th

Ry's sophomore homecoming was tonight. 

Him and his date Allie bought matching Nike tennis shoes.

Day 282, Sunday, October 9th

Day 283, Monday, October 10th

No soccer practice tonight due to poor air quality meant a little extra time for one final swim of the season.  The pool gets closed tomorrow. 

Day 284, Tuesday, October 11th

Dave was smelling something gross in our cabinet of Chewy treats and Harper remembered that she had made some homemade treats a few weeks ago.  

We lost a thermos tonight. 

Day 285, Wednesday, October 12th

Harper had an orthodontic appointment today and changed her bands to pink for breast cancer awareness. 

Day 286, Thursday, October 13th

After dinner electronics time. 

Day 287, Friday, October 14th

No school for Harper today meant breakfast at Wild Huckleberry.

Rylan's HOCO and family weekend at Gonzaga

 Rylan's homecoming and Presley's family weekend at Gonzaga ended up the being the same weekend.  

I stayed behind with Rylan and Dave and Harper spent Saturday and Sunday in Spokane with P.

They picked up Presley at her dorm and then headed to the women's Gonzaga Volleyball game.

They went shopping after the game and Presley stayed with them at the Davenport in the Circus Room. 

They went out to dinner and then back to swim for a bit. 

On Sunday morning, they took Presley out to breakfast and then headed home. 

Dave brought me a little present from the weekend. 

Ry had a great Homecoming night.   He did such a good job of including me and letting me know when and where to meet for pictures. 

Ry was originally scheduled for a soccer game today but the smoke and air quality has been so bad this month that it was cancelled.  

He had a little pre-HOCO meal from Hot Rod Cafe.

Rylan and his long time friend Dina....they've been going to school together since pre-school and she transferred to Cashmere this year.  

A parent that works at the hospital and knows Dave sent these to him as they were walking into the dance.
