Presley Apple Blossom Top Ten

Presley and I went to a mandatory parent/student meeting back in early December. 

She made the decision to fill out the application and go for it. 

She had to write a speech using the prompt "Have You Ever Wondered...", and answer some biography type questions. 

On Monday, January 24th was the contestants "meet and greet" where each senior student took the stage and answered questions about their biography. 

On Tuesday, January 25th, each senior girl took the stage and made their 2-3 minute speech.  

And we came back at 6:00 to hear who was selected to be in the Top Ten. 

Ry had a basketball game on Tuesday eve so I drove myself and met up with Dave and Harper in Cashmere.  I left right at the end and made it to the convention center with just a couple of minutes to spare for the announcement.  I told Dave that I would be quick and I'd meet him and Harper back at home.   They made it home in time to watch it live on NCWLife.  My seat was way in the back of the convention center (it was a packed house).  I didn't have balloons or flowers or a stuffed animal.  I was completely unprepared. 

Her name was the 10th girl called.  She had made it into the Top Ten.

There was a parent meeting afterwards and it was just me there.  The top ten completed a puzzle to learn of their pageant number (Presley was #10), and introductions were made and a list of upcoming dates and meetings for Presley and/or Presley and her parents to attend. 

It was a lot but Presley was so shocked and excited.

Their first event was attending a Wenatchee Wild game.

Dave, Ry, and Harper went to the game and took a picture of the Top Ten in their box seats.

They had opening dance practice at Fabulous Feet.

They had a day of radio interviews and she was asked about her name. 

They had an etiquette dinner with 2 former queens .

And they each had a chance to put on the tiara. 

They went out to eat dinner for Valentine's Day
