Dad's Day 2020 (Pendleton and Walla Walla)

Our third annual Dad's Day was Friday, March 6th.
We ventured into the big cities of Pendleton and Walla Walla!

Samee surprised Mom and Dad in the morning by picking them up and telling them they would be flying to Pendleton.
Mom had a little reservation but they had a wonderful, clear flight and the pilot pointed out some landmarks.
We met them in Pendleton.
We stopped for a quick lunch.

Then we went to the Pendleton Underground Tour.
I loved learning about Stella Darby's bordello, The Cozy Hotel

We browsed in some of the downtown shops and then drove on to The Wildhorse (because what would a trip be to Pendleton without a quick trip to the casino).

Amy was a big winner--she put in $20 and ended up with $356!
We were only there about an hour.

We drove on to Walla Walla and stopped in the Hot Poop Record Store.
Then went to dinner at the Pasta Factory

We had one last activity to do...a Clue type game at the Kirkman House Museum.

We had to figure out who was the murderer, what weapon was used, and what room it was done in.
It was really fun and we played in the dark!
And many of the rooms had mannequins and vintage/antique dolls and decorations!

Amy figured it out first that it was Nelson Blackick, in the office, with the meat fork.
(I was one space on the game board behind her and I would have guessed correctly too)
She was a super detective!

There was a special library in the house dedicated to Adam West (a former Batman and Walla Walla resident).

We made it home about 10:30 and I stayed the night and left Saturday morning.
