Homecoming for Presley

Grandma texted this picture to both Logan and Presley the morning of their Homecoming Dance.
Logan texted back, "Papa looks reeeallll nice"

Presley was asked to homecoming several weeks ago by her friend Evan.

We could not have asked for a better group of freshman to host for homecoming.
They were so funny, engaging, and got along so well.
They were so kind and appreciative to us.
We heard so much laughter and excitement.

Really, the night went so well...

Presley had her hair appointment at 3.
She loved how it turned out.

Harper was leaving for a hockey game tonight.
We dropped her off before the guests arrived.

I set the table and Dave turned on the heater so the outside would be warm.
The group sat out there the whole time.

Presley's sweet friends.

Evan had trouble finding our house and was a little late.
He handled it so well, was so kind to Presley, and had such nice manners as he met us.
He said, "You have a lovely home Mrs. Nelson".
I texted that to Grandma and she texted back, "A little Eddie Haskell"
We were so impressed with Evan.

From our front door.
We left the back doors wide open.
It was a nice day, weather wise.

Dave and I didn't know that Rylan was going to get his saxophone, but he sauntered out to the deck and played them "Merrily we Roll Along".  He has this one memorized so he didn't need his music book.

Then they asked him to play a Christmas tune, so he had to have Toby hold us his book.

After dinner, right before we left for the dance.

I dropped them off at the dance at about 8:20.
Presley said lots of her friends went together in a big girls group too.

About 9:40, I was snuggled in bed as Dave went to get Harper.
Rylan walked in with a hot cup of tea for me.

Presley made it home by 11:30.
She told me she had a fun time and danced the night away.

And no homecoming text string between mom, Grandma, Samee, and Amy would be complete without a flash back picture.
When I showed this to Ry he asked me, "Was Amy trying to be Cinderella here?"
