Life Lately...

Logan's half birthday happened to fall on Superbowl Sunday.
We woke up and had 1/2 doughnuts...
I asked Logan what the best thing about being 15 1/2 is and he said, "getting close to driving".

I thought Dave might turn on a replay of the Denver Broncos winning the Superbowl last year, but we watched the movie "Trolls" as a family.
Presley got our football grid ready for us.
(and the kids raided my change to pay 25 cents per square)

The Superbowl this year was a wild and crazy one (and the first to go into overtime).
Atlanta Falcons were up for much of the game, so much in fact that I just started cleaning the kitchen and doing laundry and getting ready for the week ahead.
And then the Patriots staged a 19 point comeback in the 4th quarter, sending the game into overtime, and eventually winning it with a touchdown.
Patriots 34-Falcons 28

And the snow continued...so much so that you almost couldn't see the little trampoline.

On Friday, February 10th, Logan had his last freshman basketball game in Yakima.
He had lots of people show up to cheer him on.
At the end of the game, we made a little tunnel out in the hallway for him to run through.
(Miryn led the way)
They won tonight and Logan had 14 points.

Samee and Miryn followed us home this night and stayed with us.
Miryn and Samee went skiing at Mission Ridge the next day.
Samee texted us this picture of Miryn in her lesson.
She loved going fast (a surprise to no one)!

While Miryn and Samee headed up to more snow, we travelled over the pass to watch Logan's team play 2 soccer games.
This was actually the first weekend of Washington Cup.
(high school boys soccer runs in the spring, so PSPL puts on the Washington Cup for the older age groups in February)

It's not very often that we leave a gray Wenatchee and head to a sunny Seattle, but that's what happened this week-end.

Sunday, in Shoreline

Colby's mom texted me these pictures of our boys.
These showed up on her Facebook feed time hop from 5 years ago.
Harper has always loved Colby.
I wish we would have gotten a picture of Logan, Colby, and Triston sometime this year during their freshman year.

And one more look back...I found this paper in Harper's backpack.

And apparently, she does a little light reading that we are unaware of...
Harper's favorite book she read in 2016:  To Kill A Mockingbird
Where did she come up with that??????
