Sounders Cup 2016

While Dave and Logan were in Denver, CO at the National Soccer Tournament, Ry was playing (and winning) in his own tournament in Tukwila.

They were guaranteed three games this week-end, one on Friday, one on Saturday, and one on Sunday.  Because they made it to the championship, they played twice on Sunday.

On Friday they won 4-2 and Ry scored his one goal for the week-end.
On Saturday they won 1-0 and Ry had an excellent assist to Luke.
On Sunday they won 4-3 and Ry had another assist to Casey.
And they lost the championship game 1-2 against a tough and big Federal Way team.
Ry played very consistent all weekend long.

We had lots of free time on Saturday so we went to the Family Fun Center.
Harper was tall enough to go on the big swing, but I was worried she wouldn't do it.
She surprised me and loved it and went on it 4 times with Presley (Ry would have nothing to do with this ride).
This was the last time they went on it and Harper's hands were up the whole time.

They all jumped on the trampolines.
Presley could do back flips and front flips.
And Ry and Harper tried to.

They went on the bumper boats and mostly huddled together and got eachother wet.
Harper did get stuck way in the corner and Ry went over to help her get out.

And Presley was tall enough to drive her own Go-Kart
She's ready for the Wallowa Lake go-karts next week-end.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 29 (2016)

Day 197, Friday, July 15th
Presley's first performance in 101 Dalmations

Logan's trainer Marcus Hahnemann (he trains the goalkeepers for the Sounders) on the last day of soccer camp.

Day 198, Saturday, July 16th
Presley's final 101 Dalmations performance

Day 199, Sunday, July 17th
A fun day visiting with the Smith's and Larson's

Day 200, Monday, July 18th
Logan created the "Lazy Box" today.
He cut out a semi-circle for the neck and a small rectangle for his phone.
And he watched Park and Recreation episodes this way all morning.

Day 201, Tuesday, July 19th
Logan playing Pokemon Go in the parking lot at Rylan's soccer practice.
He walked around in circles for a while before finally catching one.

Day 202, Wednesday, July 20th
Presley had a sleepover with her friend Taylor.

Day 203, Thursday, July 21st
And they're off to Denver for the National Soccer Tournament.
Colby and Javi are in the back.

While they were flying I took this crew to see "The BFG"

Visitors from Minnesota!

The Larson's moved to Minnesota 3 years ago and they finally came to visit Wenatchee last weekend.
Kevin and Troy came over on Friday night and they sat outside with the fire pit going and talking.

Both the Smith and Larson families came over on Sunday afternoon.
They started things off with a wiffle ball tournament.
(Dave, Kevin, and Troy went on a Disneyland road trip for graduation in 1993 and had wiffle ball tournaments at the KOA's they camped at along the way. )
I think the adults may have lost their batting skills because it was Ry who hit it out of the park and ended the game.

One of my favorite summer sights...a pool full of people!

The Nelson, Smith, and Larson kids
Troy missed this picture as he ended up laying down on the couch for a bit with a migraine.

We ended the night with a dance party downstairs with Presley's karaoke machine.

Not quite the same kind of parties we had like 20 years ago, but I don't think any of us would change a thing :).

101 Dalmations

Presley participated in a Stage Kids summer camp and they performed 101 Dalmations at the end of the 2 week session.
Presley auditioned and received the role of Nanny.

Grandma, Cristy, Mylee, Samee and Miryn (it was Samee's Friday off) came up to watch her performance.
Samee and Miryn stayed back and took an afternoon nap and the rest of us watched.

Presley had to be early to the auditorium so Harper, Rylan, and I met the group at Pybus market for lunch.
(Dad was picking up Logan from his week long soccer camp.)

Miryn hugging Harper
Sweet youngest cousins!

101 Dalmations was a short but fun play (Miryn probably would have done just fine).
Presley did a great job!

Taking her bow

Our Presley's fan club!

Presley with her friends Ella and Ainsley
Harper and her friends Summer and Kate
(I tried to sign up Harper for this camp and it was already filled for her age group)

We all went home after the show and did a little swimming.
Dad and Logan showed up too.
Miryn is pretty fearless in the water.
Waving to me up on the deck before...
jumping over the waterfall!

Samee and Miryn put on the mermaid tails.
I love this picture of these 2!

Presley was upset she couldn't get in the water
(she had to be back at the auditorium in only a couple hours)
so she put on Samee's hat and took selfies.
She has a flair for the dramatics!

We had dinner and I took Presley back and they all left.
Dad, Logan, and Harper went to watch the evening performance.

She had one more Saturday afternoon performance and I volunteered in concessions so I was able to sneak in and watch.

We love our actress!

Lea's, Day-Lea's, Week 28 (2016)

Headed off to drop off Logan at his soccer camp in Kenmore, WA
At the practice fields

Day 193, Monday, July 11th
Free Slurpees at 7-11 on 7/11...yes, please!

Day 194, Tuesday, July 12th
Missing our boy today so we checked to see where he was on campus.
His phone was in his dorm at this time.

Day 195, Wednesday, July 13th
These quarter machines make the kids happy.
Ry got a mustache and Harper got a plastic ring.
Well worth it as a treat for an easy trip to the grocery store.

Day 196, Thursday, July 14th
Jumping in together!
