Trick or Treat!!

After we got home from the boys' wet wet wet soccer games, we opened up our little Halloween goodies.
These two received a package of Pokemon Cards.

Logan received some breath spray from the Lindholm's.
He was sharing with Rylan, but wouldn't let Ry do it on his own.

We carved pumpkins, ate dinner, and put our pumpkins out front.

Dave, Logan, and his friend Colby stayed home to pass out candy.
I took Presley, Ry, and Harper around our neighborhood.
It didn't rain one bit while we were out.
We had so much fun!!
I love that we live in a neighborhood with lots of kids!!
Luke Skywalker, a nerd, and a cowgirl were my dates for the evening.
They were on a mission!
We snuck up to our house for our last trick or treat stop.
Daddy tried to close the door on us.

We drove over to see Grandma and Papa.

Logan did not want to dress up this year, but he was happy to wear pumpkin socks with shorts all night.

I was happy to get this picture text from Amy.
Our beautiful cousins!!

We had a really fun Halloween night!!

Carving Pumpkins: October 31st

Logan and Rylan each had a home soccer game today.

Thankfully, they were on the same field and at the same time.

It rained and rained the entire game time, but as we were leaving, there was a short sun break.
The both got wins today.

When we got home, Dave heated up the garage and set up the pumpkins on a folding table and we got to work.
And laughed when Ry came out in his underwear and full surgical gear.
Harper was done first so she thought Logan's pumpkin might need a little help.

Smallwoods Trip: Friday, October 30th

Friday was black and orange day at school for Logan and Presley.
And it was Harvest party day for Rylan and Harper.
I got to help out in Ry's class during their craft project.

Between three soccer schedules, two traveling teams, vocal lessons, and Little Mermaid play practice, our opportunities to get to Smallwoods this year were few and far between.
So, Friday, after school we went.
In the pouring rain.
And we were the only ones there.

We got there and this is just about what was left of their pumpkin selection.
Note to self:  Don't wait until 4:00 on October 30th for pumpkins.

We started off inside the store and the kids each got a quarter to make the hen lay an egg.

We decided to brave the rain and headed outside to do the prop maze.

Harper made it out first.
(Logan let her win)
   Rylan made his way through.
And we sent these three back in to help a very lost Presley.
Finally, she made it out but then Ry got stuck.
These three tried to direct him out.
Finally!!  We were all soaked.

Ry really wanted to feed the animals but wet animal smell did not appeal to me so I told him we'd come back in November sometime.
So we opted for some hot cider.

We drove down the road towards Leavenworth and ended up at a fruit stand that had lots of pumpkins outside.  That's where we ended up buying ours.

We made it back home in time to order Dominoes and get Logan to the last Wenatchee High football game.

I did get a few cute texts this night too...
Miryn got to dress up for school today.
Lincoln's first Halloween Eve.

What a fun day with some sweet pumpkins!!

October Decorations

I think it'll be so helpful for me to remember next year where things go.
And to remind myself I do not need to buy one more pumpkin to place on a shelf.
Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere!!

In the middle of the breakfast nook table.
The little corner in the kitchen by the sink.
The shelf above the oven.
On the kitchen island.
On the dining room buffet.
More of the dining room area.

1/2 bath
The family room mantle
I bought this wheat looking stuff from Hobby Lobby.
It was much longer and I cut off about 10 inches from the bottom.
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to throw it away and buy new each year.

The right side of the family room.
The coffee table.  I've been trying to keep fresh flowers in this spot.
