Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 4 (2015)

Day 22, Thursday, January 22nd
Daddy left for his National Sales Meeting in San Diego today.
Presley was the only one to take him to the airport this afternoon with me.

Day 23, Friday, January 23rd
He won two of the company's biggest awards while in San Diego.

Day 24, Saturday, January 24th
Logan's AAU team played in a local tournament and so did cousin Mathew's team.  Joe, Lanae and Cristy came to Logan's game and then we all went to watch Mathew get a win too.

Day 25, Sunday, January 25th
Logan had an early basketball game so we dropped him off for warm ups and went out for breakfast.

Day 26, Monday, January 26th
Presley is participating in Stage Kids, WA this winter and when I went to pick her up she was playing the role of the PE teacher.

Day 27, Tuesday, January 27th
Ry shared at dinner tonight that Ashley gave him this stuffed heart.
Well, actually it was from Ashley, but Chloe is the one who delivered it to Ry on behalf of Ashley.
He turned a little red as he was sharing this story.

Day 28, Wednesday, January 28th
Not every morning is perfect but some mornings things are running smoothly.
(And you know it was  if I had time to snap a picture)
This morning they were all talking about a movie they had watched together and they were finishing each other's sentences and then adding on to the summary of the movie.
It was very sweet way to sit and listen to.

Day-Lea's, Week 3 (2015)

Day 15, Thursday, January 15th
Presley was sick today and stayed home from school.  The kids played so nice and quietly after school.

Day 16, Friday, January 16th
Started sheetrock work.
Looking into our kitchen.

Day 17, Saturday, January 17th
Logan invited Rhett, Colby, and Riley to stay the night and after dinner they all played Spoons together.

Day 18, Sunday, January 18th
Dave and I ran to the furniture store and came home to find this note on the garage door from Logan.
They had a great time, even though they are not supposed to leave the house while we're gone.

Day 19, Monday, January 19th
The kids didn't have school today so we went for a walk by the river.
Logan was up skiing with friends.

Day 20, Tuesday, January 20th
There is nothing remarkable about this text from my Dad.  Except the time.
He is the only person I know who would start a text conversation at 10:40 at night.
Especially with me, who is known for being an early to bed type of gal.
My mom and dad's night owl gene completely skipped me over.
I was awake and I did respond, but I was laying in bed with heavy eyelids.

Day 21, Wednesday, January 21st
Rylan slipped on the ice at recess at school and had a bloody scrape on his head.
He was crying and the teachers found Presley and she calmed him down and helped him to the nurse.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 2 (2015)

Day 8, Thursday, January 8th
Deciding on cabinet colors.

Day 9, Friday, January 9th
Family movie night.
Daddy and Ry snuggling together.
We watched Box Trolls.

Day 10, Saturday, January 10th
The movie the night before gave the kids the idea of becoming box trolls themselves.

Day 11, Sunday, January 11th
Harper wrote "mom" on this paper for the first time unassisted and without a prompt.

Day 12, Monday, January 12th
Late start Monday and Presley made me a tea.

Day 13, Tuesday, January 13th
I had to run to Office Depot and Harper said, "I don't like that guys' eyes".
The Skookum Indian's eyes move back and forth.
Logan was scared of him too when he was little.

Day 14, Wednesday, January 14th
Harper sleeping with the Build a Bear that Grandma K. bought her when she was a baby.
Every 23rd of the month for Harper's first year, I took her picture next to this bear.
She used it as a pillow then (2 months),  and was using it as a pillow this night too.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 1 (2015)

Day 1, Thursday, January 1
The first moments of 2015
Cheers to 2015

Day 2, Friday, January 2nd
Dave took Logan up skiing, just the two of them so that Dave could actually ski a little
(as opposed to helping Ry and Presley on the little hills)
Beautiful and frigid day.
Dave says that's Mt. Rainier in the background.

Day 3, Saturday, January 3rd
Presley and Ry's skiing adventure.
They did much better today.

Day 4, Sunday, January 4th
Logan's AAU tournament.
The Panthers took 1st place.
We laughed because Logan's trophy says,
"2014 Desert Hoops Champion"
So either these were left over from last year
OR
someone messed up they placed the trophy order for this year.

Day 5, Monday, January 5th
Christmas Clean Up has begun.

Day 6, Tuesday, January 6th
Waiting for preschool to start.
The transition back to school hasn't been smooth.
Lots of kid tiredness.

Day 7, Wednesday, January 7th
Someone is a wee tired at pick up time.
Harper fell asleep in the car at 2:45 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Happy New Year

Welcome to 2015!!

I don't really have a resolution.
But I do like this as a theme for this year.

Over the last week I've become addicted to two different types of shows...
Chip and Joanna Gaines are the masterminds behind this show.
They take a couple out to buy an older, fixer upper type home and then re-do the home.
I just love her style and their relationship and the end result.
It's a happy little show.
And they have four kids.

Oh, heavens, Serial has sucked me in.
It's actually a podcast and I've listened to all 12 episodes in about 3 days.
(I'm actually listening to episode 12 right now)
I've walked around the house with ear plugs in and giving the hand sign of my "don't talk to me I'm listening" several times these past few days.
Is he innocent?  Is he guilty?  Will we ever know?

This is the last picture I took of 2014.
Logan had fallen asleep on my shoulder about 11:50.
We did wake him up as we were watching the fireworks going off the Space Needle.

So excited for this year and what it holds for our little Nelson family.
