Day 260, Saturday, September 17th

We decided to celebrate Dave's birthday with lunch since Presley was at home. 

Grandma and Papa Nelson joined us. 

Day 261, Sunday, September 18th

A weekend home is just what Presley needed. 

She left today about 2:00. 

Day 262, Monday, September 19th

Dave's 48th birthday!

Day 263, Tuesday, September 20th

Harper's first 7th grade volleyball game!

They won 1 game out of 3 vs. Eastmont Jr. High today. 

Day 264, Wednesday, September 21st

Chewy peeking out the window as we drive away this morning. 

He has to be wondering where all his people are and why the house is so quiet. 

Day 265, Thursday, September 22nd

Harper's second game of the season today. 

She's done a great job at serving and they are all learning the game. 

They won 1 out of 3 games today too!

Day 266, Friday, September 23rd

It was Tropical Night at the Cashmere football game. 

 

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 37 (2022)

 Day 253, Saturday, September 10th

We dropped off Ry at the Chelan County Fair and he called about 8:30 to tell me his friends were going to go to Wenatchee to get a Dutch Bros drink and walk around Target and then drop him off at home.   

He called again around 9:05 and I immediately knew something was wrong.  He told me they had been in an accident and could dad pick him up. 

We were able to find his location on his phone and Dave came upon this scene.  

Ry was in the rear seat behind the passenger, so opposite of the tire that is missing. 

All 5 kids in this car got out through that open door, the worst injury being a scratch on one of their arms. 

Dave didn't show this picture to me until they were home.

The police report said it was a 4 prong tire on a 5 prong wheel base, they hit the train tracks, it came off, and the driver overcorrected and flipped.  All 5 kids were wearing their seat belts.   

We were very lucky this night.

 Day 246,  Saturday, September 3rd

I met Amy in Ritzville and we drove to Spokane, picked up Presley, and drove on to Kellogg for Lois' memorial.  Her remains are in the Kellogg cemetery in her husband Harley's niche.  Grandma Pat is there too and so is Great Grandma Pauline's bench. 

Day 247, Sunday, September 4th

I was sitting outside with Chewy and Ry was talking to me through the window. 

Chewy went to investigate. 

Day 248, Monday, September 5th

Grocery shopping with Harper today. 

Day 249, Tuesday, September 6th

Harper left her iPad in the car and Ry locked the door and took a zillion selfies while Harper looked in. 

Day 250, Wednesday, September 7th

An East Coast planning meeting with mom, Amy, and Samee

Day 251, Thursday, September 8th

You know you trust your kid when you've received no email or notice but you allow her to dress in a cow costume because its "outrageous day" at school. 

Day 252, Friday, September 9th

Dave and Ry watched "Over the Top" so there's been lots of arm wrestling going on over here. 

 

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 35 (2022)

 Day 239, Saturday, August 27th

Ry's 1/2 birthday....6 more months to driving!

Ry had a soccer game today in Spokane, which worked out so nicely since we were there for Presley. 

We stopped at Krispy Kreme this morning and he had 1/2 of a doughnut before he played.

They won 3-1 and he got a goal!

Day 240, Sunday, August 28th

They counted down together before they jumped. 

I love the way their both looking at each other to make sure each of them were actually going to go for it.
