2020 Carving Pumpkins

Aunt Amy, mom and Aunt Samee (1977)

We are home, ALOT, and it was still difficult to find an evening to carve our pumpkins!

Presley's, Logan's, Harper's, Rylan's
The kids and Dave play this online game,  Among Us, and everyone but Ry got the memo that they were carving pumpkins in those characters.

Smallwoods Farm

We went to Smallwoods Farm the weekend before Halloween.

Due to COVID restrictions, the "fun" stuff was pretty minimal.
No playground or ball pit, no beanbag tosses, no maze,  and on this day, no cow train.
I was glad we went because its part of our fall traditions, but it wasn't quite the same.

They could play ping pong and tetherball and feed the animals.

They had a handwashing and hand sanitizer station.

Presley brought her friends to Smallwoods earlier this fall, and Harper and Ella's little sister Kate are best friends too so they tagged along.
They got to ride the cow train that day.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 43 (2020)

 Day 295, Wednesday, October 21st

Ry doesn't just go outside and shoot around or play soccer on his own, but he'll always take you up on the offer to play him one on one or play PIG or take him to go shoot around somewhere.

Day 296, Thursday, October 22nd

Harper on her ZOOM calls in the office, with a snack and a cup of tea.

And Presley received such a nice note (and paycheck) from her bosses.
She's been one of the golf coaches, teaching 8-10 year olds how to golf for the past 10 weeks.

Day 297, Friday, October 23rd

We had a little snow this afternoon.
This is definitely the earliest I can remember getting snow.

Logan was named his gym's Athlete of the Year.

Day 298, Saturday, October 24th

We went to Smallwoods Farms for pumpkins today.
Pumpkins with snow on top of them.
It was a beautiful, brisk day.

Day 299, Sunday, October 25th

Presley delivering me coffee this morning.

Day 300, Monday, October 26th

Well this looks kind of gross, but just so I remember ....Logan weighs out his chicken each night.
He eats a lot of protein!

Day 301, Tuesday, October 27th

Taking Chewy for a short walk.
They walk down to get the mail almost every day.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 42 (2020)

 Day 288, Wednesday, October 14th

Outside time at the Eastmont park.
(That's Logan pushing Presley)

Day 289, Thursday, October 15th

We spent a day together in Coeur d'Alene on a walking tour downtown and a boat tour around the bays in Lake Coeur d'Alene.

Day 290, Friday, October 16th

Presley and her "baby" Chewy.

Day 291, Saturday, October 17th

Harper started a YMCA basketball camp on Saturday mornings .
She's in a group of 5 kids, and they're not allowed to share basketballs, but its a little activity.

Day 292, Sunday, October 18th

Dave's taught Logan  how to make his own black coffee in the morning.
Which has been totally fine except the one morning he had to grind his beans at 5:30 AM....that work us both up in a hurry.

Day 293, Monday, October 19th

Ry playing basketball down at The Kennel in Cashmere tonight.
We probably can't do this too many more evenings...its getting dark and cold!

Day 294, Tuesday, October 20th

Ry, Harper, and the neighborhood kids playing together in the dirt.

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 41 (2020)

 Day 281, Wednesday, October 7th

I left for an errand and came home to find Harper like this.
Distance learning is not horrible for us, but we do miss social interactions.

Day 282, Thursday, October 8th

Recess time--jumping on the trampoline and box jumps on the patio furniture.

Day 283, Friday, October 9th

Presley and her friends took Harper and Kate to Smallwoods for a fun afternoon.

Day 284, Saturday, October 10th

Harper has been begging to get her hair cut so I surprised her today with an appointment.

Day 285, Sunday, October 11th

Ry and Dad scheming to gang up on Presley.

Day 286, Monday, October 12th

Dave loves his dog.
Rylan texted me this pic this morning to show the frost/dew on his window.
It's getting lots colder in the mornings.

Day 287, Tuesday, October 13th

Our drive through library at Harper's elementary school.
You place a hold on a book online and they will deliver it to you when you pull up.
