Easter Weekend

Rys soccer team had an outstanding game vs. White Swan tonight.  

Ry played just a short time in goal, and then played forward. 

He even got one of the goals tonight. 

We thought Logan might make it to the game, and he did, showing up in the scrubs he wore at work.

Friday night, watching funny videos together. 

Grandma and Papa Nelson came over on Saturday to help us color eggs. 

Logan wanted to leave a little earlier on Sunday to get back to Seattle, so we had a nice dinner of ham and all the sides on Saturday afternoon. 

We opened baskets on Sunday morning and Presley FaceTimed us to open hers too. 

And then we went on a walk down on the trail near Confluence Park. 

Logan left about 2 and we had leftover ham and rolls for dinner. 

We had a special engagement on Saturday evening too!

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 16 (2025)

 Day 106, Wednesday, April 16th

Getting ready for a walk this afternoon. 

Day 107, Thursday, April 17th

Harper dropped me off at the top of the driveway so I could walk the empty garbage cans down. 

This is the first time she's done that, and she started to drive off before I had closed the passenger door :)

Day 108, Friday, April 18th

Logan came from work to watch Ry play tonight, and to spend a couple nights at home with us for Easter. 

Day 109, Saturday, April 19th

Logan wanted to leave a little earlier on Sunday so we had Easter dinner with Grandma and Papa Nelson tonight. 

Day 110, Sunday, April 20th

We did Easter baskets and went for a walk this morning before Logan left. 

Day 111, Monday, April 21st

And Ry woke up this morning and had irritated eyes. 

We thought it was his contacts and he got poked in the eye playing basketball at the high school last night. 

Day 112, Tuesday, April 22nd

Ry had a soccer game at Ki-Be in Benton City tonight so he had some Legard fans to watch him. 

They won 4-0 and he didn't have much action. 

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 15 (2025)

 Day 99, Wednesday, April 9th

Dave texted me asking if this was a dunk or not? 

I said probably not and then he sent me the whole video, and it was a dunk!

Ry continues to use the gym to get his shots up 4-5 times a week. 

Day 100, Thursday, April 10th

Our pool was opened today but we aren't going to heat it quite yet. 

Nobody volunteered to do a polar plunge.

Day 101, Friday, April 11th

Ry was the captain tonight vs. Granger

Day 102, Saturday, April 12th

Ry welded a hammer in his welding class. 

It's pretty impressive. 

Day 103, Sunday, April 13th

Ry and Harper went out today and played beach volleyball. 

Day 104, Monday, April 14th

We watched the WNBA draft tonight. 

Cashmere's Hailey Van Lith was selected 11th to the Chicago Sky. 

Day 105, Tuesday, April 15th

A winning night of soccer at Naches Valley tonight. 

They won 6-0 and Ry didn't get much action. 

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 14 (2025)

Day 92, Wednesday, April 2nd

Dave had a work lunch and brought home sushi rolls for Ry and Harper. 

Day 93, Thursday, April 3rd

Pre-Wisdom teeth extraction

Swollen cheeks, but feeling pretty good and keeping up on the pain medications!

Day 95, Saturday, April 5th

At the Brewster game today, tied 4-4

Day 96, Sunday, April 6th

Actually paid money to go watch the Minecraft movie upon Ry's request :)

Day 97, Monday, April 7th

Dad was our big winner this year, although none of us guessed the championship match up. 

Day 98, Tuesday, April 8th

Cleaning up messes tonight. 

2025 Spring Break Memories

 

Presley's spring break was March 24th-28th so her and Kel came to Wenatchee to spend a few days with us.   They came to Rylans' game in Chelan today. 

Ry had a game in Warden on Friday night, and Dave and I went to that one. 

Presley, Kel and Harper stayed home with Chewy. 

We came home to them dancing and doing karaoke. 

Kel and Chewy are practically best buds!

On Saturday, we rode the Alpine Coaster

Ry had a tournament in the Tri-Cities so Dave and Ry left for that. 

The rest of us stayed in Wenatchee and drove down Sunday morning to watch him play.

A tournament in the Tri-Cities meant lots of fans for Ry...

Samee and Nate were in Las Vegas to celebrate Nate's Dad's birthday so Miryn hung around in the gym with us.  She let me braid her hair.

Amy, Thomas, Aly, Shane, Mylee, and Ryan went on a 3 day cruise.  They were back this weekend so I got to hear all about that new adventure. 

Rylans group won the tournament. 

He played great all weekend long. 

We went to lunch in between games today and then Kel and Presley left after lunch. 

Ry and Harper's spring break started on Monday, March 31st with spilled coffee...ugh!

We went to the gym and shot around a little bit and then worked on hitting with Harper. 

Ry had 2 soccer games this week, and they won both. 

He's running through the tunnel afterwards. 

Dave bowled on Wednesday night.  Look at all those strikes--3 away from a perfect game. 

We cleaned out closets and ran across this Gonzaga camp tee, with some former Zags players autographs. 

Drew Timme #2 plays in the NBA now. 

Papa found a way to compare Rylan and Cooper Flagg :)

Bob Legard retired this week!

And Harper had her wisdom teeth out. 

She only wanted to talk about shrimp fettuccine for dinner and slept a lot. 

Still a little swollen on Saturday at Ry's game but doing lots better. 

We ended our spring break by going to the theatre to watch the Minecraft movie!
