December Mems

Miryn let me play with her hair while she played cards

I sent Presley a Christmas care package and included a chocolate advent calendar for Kel.
He liked it!

We had a dance party to Christmas music

I watched lots of Christmas movies including White Christmas, Christmas with the Kranks, Home Alone, Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, and lots of Hallmark ones.

We went to see Wicked at the theatre.
Loved it!
Ry pouted because Dave told him he couldn't get Chipotle for lunch.
Volleyball practice started for NCW.

These two in their blue light glasses

We went to Leavenworth
Leavenworth made national news when the sled hill (you can kind of see in this pic) was torn apart by a truck driver that did brodies all over it.
The act was caught on surveillance camera and the police could read the license plate.
It snowed a few days later and the sledding hill was able to be used again.

A snow hat with a bow?
Yes please, but a hard no for Harper.

Dave bought me a true crime case to be solved.
And I did solve it correctly, but I had to use all the online hints available.

Saying goodbye to Ry and Chewy is never easy.

Presley went to the Legard Christmas Party at Dave's house.

Ry and Harper had so many great 2024 memories.

Onto 2025!

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 52 + 2 days (2024)

 Day 358, Monday, December 23rd

Gingerbread houses this year

Day 359, Tuesday, December 24th

Christmas Eve dinner with Grandma and Papa Nelson

Day 360, Wednesday, December 25th

Christmas Day with the Kreider's

Day 361, Thursday, December 26th

We drove home while the snow was falling and woke up to a couple of inches
Those tire tracks are from Dave leaving to work at 6:30 AM
Harper and I shoveled this morning.

Day 362, Friday, December 27th

Presley and Harper went to work out and then to get coffees for all of us.
We met them in the parking lot to pick ours up as we were headed to get groceries.

Day 363, Saturday, December 28th

Dave received a dutch oven for Christmas and him and Presley made bread this morning.
Well, started it last night and baked it this morning.

Day 364, Sunday, December 29th

Presley left us this morning to go to the Tri-Cities to attend the Legard party.
And then she left for Portland on Monday morning.
She feels more comfortable driving this way so she doesn't have to travel over any passes.

Day 365, Monday, December 30th

I went down to tell Ry good night and I think his night was just starting.

Day 366, Tuesday, December 31st

New Years Eve before Ry left to hang out with friends.

(I see Dave wrote a memory for Ry)

Decorating the Tree

Rylan--Kindergarten
We texted Logan that his picture ornament was front and center.

We relied on Ry to decorate those top branches

Harper putting on the angel.

Gingerbread Houses and Leavenworth Lights

No Logan this year for gingerbread houses so I bought 3 individual houses for a competitive decorating event.  Dave was at work while we did these so he had no idea which house belonged to whom.

Blowing powdered sugar on his house so it looks snowy

I mean, the competition is getting tighter each year.
They did so good!

But the winner was....
RYLAN
(Presley looking on in disbelief :))

We went to Leavenworth on Saturday, December 21st.
Kel and Presley went earlier in the day, met us in Cashmere for Ry's game, and then we all went to walk around and have dinner.
It was definitely crowded but we had a great time!

Christmas Day

Papa Berries stopped by to see us all

Cousins!
Cousins with grandma and papa

All of us in green today

Miryn and Amy love Survivor

Nate's mom Luann was here with us too.
Miryn with her two shortie grandmas :)

On our way home we hit some pretty good fresh snowfall.
It took us a bit longer, but we did make it home.
Logan only had rain on the way back to Cheney.
