Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 46 (2024)

 Day 316, Monday, November 11th

Leaving Portland and saying goodbye to Presley today with our shopping haul.

Day 317, Tuesday, November 12th

On the phone with Logan today for 40 minutes.
Most of it was time spent editing his paper, but I'll take it!

Day 318, Wednesday, November 13th

Shoot around with Ry.
Last "first official practice" is Monday the 18th.

Day 319, Thursday, November 14th

The Cashmere Volleyball team leaving for the state tournament today.
Harper got to tag along as the videographer.
We were so glad she got this opportunity.

Day 320, Friday, November 15th

Out to eat with the team tonight.
They won one and lost one today.
But they get to continue to play tomorrow.

Day 321, Saturday, November 16th

Harper sent me this picture of their hotel door.
She shared a room with Macie and Mack and had the best time with the whole group.
And one final team dinner after they beat Bear Creek for a 5th place finish in state.

Day 322, Sunday, November 17th

Ry took a school trip to do a campus visit of Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
He sent me two pics-- a sunset (he loved the warm weather), and the basketball courts ("Mom, there were 14 courts in that gym).
He seemed most impressed with the gym, the food selections, and that we'd definitely need to buy him an electric scooter to get from one side of the campus to the other.
He really loved the visit!

Lea's Day-Lea's, Week 45 (2024)

 Day 309,  Monday, November 4th

Got out the thankful jar and Harper wrote some notes.

Day 310, Tuesday, November 5th

Two high-schoolers finishing homework

Day 311, Wednesday, November 6th

Harper and I solved a true crime murder mystery at the Cashmere Library.
I did get the right person, but so did the 8 year old too.

Day 312, Thursday, November 7th

I heard some whispering this morning at breakfast about leaving early and Harper texted this to me.
A quick Dutch Bros stop (one opened near our house recently) before school.

Day 313, Friday, November 8th

Harper and her friends at a hockey game.

Day 314, Saturday, November 9th

Sometimes Presley requests a Chewy picture update.

Day 315, Sunday, November 10th

Shopping in Portland this weekend and dinner tonight at The Cheesecake Factory.
We all got to meet Presley's boyfriend Kel.

Halloween Days

There was no school on Thursday or Friday for fall conferences.
Harper had her conference (all good news) on Thursday.
Her art is displayed behind her.

They had costume day for practice.
Harper was regretting her decision of a warm shark onesie--great idea for outdoor trick or treating, not so much for an indoor practice!

Rylan went with friends to the haunted museum.

They both carved pumpkins.
No Smallwood's trip this year.  The best thing about picking a pumpkin at Safeway the day before Halloween is the buy one/get the other free.
Harper carved the rose from Beauty and the Beast.
Jack o' Lantern pizza on Halloween night.
Ry went to the gym on Halloween night for a short time and then went to Grandma and Papa Nelson's house for a quick visit.
Harper stayed in with me and handed out candy.
Chewy keeping us safe :)

And Ry went to a Halloween party with his friend.
I don't know what they were, but I appreciate the coordination :)

Harper's final regular season game in Zilch tonight.
They lost 2-1 today, and their record was 15-3.

Day 304, Wednesday, October 30th

Harper carved her pumpkin tonight.
She gave us the clue of Presley's favorite movie.
Beauty and the Beast's Rose

Day 305, Thursday, October 31st

I got new tires on my car this afternoon so Ry picked me up.
We stopped for pumpkin spice lattes.
(No school today for fall conferences)

Day 306, Friday, November 1st

No school again today meant a slow and relaxing start to the day.

Day 307, Saturday, November 2nd

They won and will play for the championship next Saturday.

Day 308, Sunday, November 3rd

Harper's Volleyball Picture: Freshman Year

Harper started volleyball in mid-August and her season completed on October 29th.
The varsity group has made the playoffs and Harper is going to continue to pratice with them to help them prepare for post season play.
The JV  record was 15-3 and I really thought Harper got better each game.
She had a great season and we can't wait for club season and to see her continue to improve!
