First Days of School: August 30th and August 31st

Logan started classes on August 22nd, Presley and Harper on the 30th, and Rylan's first day was August 31st.

Logan didn't send me a picture but this was our text exchange on his first day.

Presley texted me her picture on Tuesday, the 30th
Harper

She was excited for her big day.
Her only concern was her math class is out in the portable and she hopes noone will poop and stink it up.

At the end of the day....

Logan had a game today that ended in a tie 1-1.
We were able to live stream to watch at home.

Presley's Gonzaga Drop Off

We all went together to drop off Presley at Gonzaga on Thursday, August 25th.

Her check in time was 8 AM on Friday, August 26th, and she requested an overnight stay at the Historic Davenport.

Dave dropped off Chewy at the boarding resort and we watched the first half of Logan's exhibition game at home. (It wasn't a league game and he wasn't sure if he would even play the second half.  He did though, and we were able to listen to the game in the car for that 2nd half.  They won 3-0).

This was a sad goodbye for Presley.
She'll really miss our Chewy.

Logan's first televised game of the season.

Somebody was there taking pictures and texted this to Logan, who texted it to us on Saturday.

On our way out the door, so excited and proud of her!

We got to the Davenport about 9 PM and ordered a dessert through room service.

Friday morning, about 7:30 AM.
Her check in time was 8 AM and she didn't want to be running late.

We got a great parking spot and she waited in line for her check in and room key.
A security guard came up to us as we were waiting here and talked to us about the ways they keep the campus safe and gave us the security phone number to put in our phones and told us they were available 24/7.  And he talked to Ry about the basketball team!

We were able to pull Presley's car real close to her dorm and start unloading things.
We were the first ones to arrive to move in, and there were lots of Gonzaga students to help us carry things up to her 2nd floor room.

This went pretty quickly, and we needed to make a run to Target for just a few things.

When we got back her roommate and her mom arrived.
We met them and then left so that they could move in without our crowd hanging around.
We toured the campus and walked through Presley's schedule.

Harper and Ry rode the lime scooters around the campus.
It was a very hot day, and we walked a ton!

In one of her actual classrooms.

Her room looked so cute and homey.

We all went out for a late lunch/early dinner at The Steam Plant.
Presley had to be back for a resident advisor's dorm meeting at 7.
That was good for us to have a "forced" leave time.

In true Presley fashion, she handed us each a letter as we left.
I did fine with hugging her good bye, but I could not read mine until much later.

And then there were FOUR...our first stop was Dairy Queen!

We stayed one more night because Rylan had a soccer game on Saturday at 1:30 in Spokane.
It was his half birthday so we made a stop at Krispy Kreme for his half doughnut.
They won 2-0 and Ry had a PK goal.

And a little Presley reminder note for me :) found on Monday evening.

Harper is THIRTEEN !

The first look at the new teen (with Chewy close on her heels)

Waiting for me to go for our morning swim.

Jumping into her 13th year!

We ate at Wok About Grill

Grandma and Papa came over for cake and presents and we ended the night playing "Clue" out on the deck.
She wanted to try horse riding lessons so she received some new cowboy boots and lessons for her gift.
