Moving Day for Ry: August 29th, 2026

 

Ry and Dave left on Friday afternoon to head to Portland. 

They stopped in Yakima to eat at Texas Roadhouse and stayed near the Portland Airport.

I stayed behind with Harper because she had volleyball on Friday after school and a fundraiser at the football jamboree on Saturday. 

Saturday, August 29th was official move in day!

They drove the additional 35 miles or so from their airport to campus. 

Ry's staying in a newer dorm and its alot better than last years. 

They were pretty prepared but had to make one trip to Fred Meyer and Home Depot. 

Then they met up with Presley and Kel for dinner. 

Dave went back to Portland with Presley and Kel to see Presley's new apartment and then they dropped him off at his hotel.  His hotel offered a shuttle service to the airport for his 10 AM flight, he had a layover in Seattle, and I picked him up in Wenatchee at 2:30.

Harper's 17th Birthday Fun!

 

Harper had some friends over on Saturday, the 22nd for swimming and pizza. 

She woke up this morning and went to church with some of the group from last night. 

Amy and Miryn drove up to spend a few hours with us and to get a milkshake from Rylan--it was his last day today. 

Mylee and Rylan drove up separately and met us at Rusty's.  They couldn't stay long because they had dinner plans. 

Amy and Miryn came over for a quick swim. 

They left and we went to dinner and then came home for cake

Harper is 17 today!  

Amy, Miryn, Mylee and Ryan drove to wenatchee today to get a milkshake from Ry on his last day of work for the summer.

Post volleyball tryout shoulder massage. 

Day 237, Tuesday, August 25th

Harper helped out with freshman orientation today. 

She sat at the HOSA table--a new club for her school that is for those interested in the health/medical field. 

Day 238, Wednesday, August 26th

She's officially a JUNIOR!  

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (August 12th-August 17th)

Enjoying our resort all day, and off to dinner tonight.

Our tour guide took us all around Puerto Vallarta today, ending at a Tequila Testing.

A hot and humid trip to the jungle today for riding ATV's and zip lining.

We got home late this afternoon and I had a frozen lasagna ready for dinner and Harper made us some brownies.

He was back to work today--both at Rustys and in the gym.
